I realise it's very controversial to include the record against the old Wimbledon FC (who then moved to Milton Keynes to become MK Dons), however, I wanted to make the match thread look nice and include information otherwise it'd be a very empty match day thread.
From Arteta's presser yesterday, it sounds like he's going to field quite a strong side. I hope he doesn't play too many first teamers as: A) We have Spurs on the weekend. B) I want to see players like Martinelli, Balogun etc get minutes as this is the one of the very few times they'll have to prove themselves. C) We're at home and they're a League One team. We shouldn't need to field a lot of first-team players to win this game.
A lot of the stuff I'm reading has said we've been quite sloppy in midfield, attack hasn't clicked and we're not creating much. I know Arteta's made 10 changes, but the lack of chance creation and patterns of play is a huge concern, especially with Spurs on Sunday. There should be a clear philosophy regardless of personnel. There still isn't one. 5 shots, 1 on target, against a League One side in 45 minutes. I know we're winning, but this is not good enough.
2-0 now. Smith-Rowe the scorer. That should be that, but sounds like it's been a laboured performance in attack.
Arsenal vs Leeds in the 4th round. Not ideal, but could have been worse, considering the teams left in the competition.
Was a good win, Nice to see us scoring a few goals. Only shame for me is that Charlie Patino didnt get selected - that kid looks superb. Martinelli looked decent and I think Tavarez looks like a quality signing.
