Walcott and Oxo were the keys to our first half success. Had it not been for the injuries we would have qualified. I actually think I prefer oxo in the middle. He was excellent. I also think Song played most of the game with an injury and wont be suprised if he misses the newcastle game.
Apologies if it is in the earlier part of thread, but I wonder what you guys think of Van Persie's attempt to show off, costing you so much. When a simple side foot into the corner was needed, I wonder why he thought that was a good opportunity to try and be clever? Also, any idea how much the Milan players took to avoid scoring - I mean that pass back to Chesney Hawkes when the whole goal was gaping, must have cost a few quid? Thoughts?
We treated it like a win because of the breathtaking comeback. Although it was in a league context, it also meant that had we beaten Inter at WHL (which we did) there was a good chance of topping the group (which we also did) so yeah, the 4-3 was worth celebrating.
harry - enjoy your cheap silly comments. We have enjoyed you lot going into freefall - whereas we are climbing steadily. We'll wave as you drop past !!!
Fair enough, probably did phrase in a wummish way. But a genuine question, are you angry with Van Persie for that chance - it did appear to me like he was trying to show off, rather than just bury. No doubt you guys were playing really well at that point and ran out of steam after.
The Harry for England issue has become an unwelcome distraction for the spuds I feel. Let's see how they handle it in the weeks ahead. After all, this is often exactly what they accuse US of doing at this time of the season
HARRY- you are forgiven just this once. RVP had a split second to react. the keeper was directly in front of the ball and him. He correctly chipped it, but would you believe the keeper waved his arms up in desperation and got lucky. I've no blame at all - RVP did the right thing.
