You did turn up, its just it was an absolute hammering that Spurs could do nothing about. One of those days where we played at our best (rare days), and if that happens it wouldnt only be Spurs who would take a hammering.
That kind of challenge is normal, but Parker was a serial offender yesterday. He also went studs in on RVP's ankle. If you think that 'dithering' on the ball entitles an opponent to a studs up assault then you know less about the game than I thought you did (which wasnt much in the first place) The only people to be applauded are TV and RVP. They didnt react. How many times do you think Parker can mistime his tackles and catch opponents with his studs on their ankle, before offering a hand just doesnt cut it anymore?
Now I have heard everything, the very epitome of hypocrisy!! You have hammered Wenger more than any Spurs fan (except maybe HIAG) but the perfect team was always there under the surface.
Who mentioned 'perfect team'????? If you have really read my posts you will realise that the issues I have called out are not related to talent. What happened yesterday was that everything clicked and we worked hard without the ball (a rare occasion, the rarity of which is the reason I am negative about the team).
I'll defend Parker here, I have him down as an honest battling midfielder who, like every other player, occasionally mistimes a tackle. At £5m he has been one of the buys of the season and I wish AW had shown an interest, he possesses the bit our midfield has often lacked. His gesture afterwards was admirable and he should be applauded for that, TV was starting to look a little childish by refusing the hand but I guess his injury record as others have said may play a part in his reaction, though looking at the state and time of the game it was obviously a poor decision to close TV down, approaching injury time and 5-2 behind you just allow the oppo to keep the ball, wait for the whistle and get off the park, he now misses a very important game for Tottenham...
You know, the stupid excuses are just that. All one can do is say it like it is - On the day, Arsenal were far too good for Spurs. End of. This season, Spurs have been better than Arsenal - for which I am not prepared to make the kind of excuses you are making.
Grizzly, a question for you... What if Parker had ended RVPs and/or TV's season with his late challenges? Hand shake enough then? Injured players still childish if they didnt accept the hand? Whilst hypothetical in terms of Parker yesterday, how about Shawcross and Taylor? handshake makes everything ok? Parkers faux apology was nothing to applaud - he had already done the same thing to RVP.
That is just silly. Parker stood on his toes, deserved a booking, but never going to be anything like the other tackles you allude to. Keep it real.

Are you seriously comparing Taylors tackle with Parkers ? At worst Parker trod on TVs foot, TV might wake up with a small stud mark on his instep, Eduardo woke up on an operating table with surgeons discussing whether to amputate his foot. The two are a million miles apart
Good god. If all he did was tread on his foot then why the apology??? He ran at pace into TV and caught him with his studs on the ankle. It could have resulted in a serious injury. You and Harry must come from some place where you eat nails for breakfast!
Mate, we've been soundly tonking you for the last 17 years It is your lot who've had the odd 'freak result' here and there. As for seeing what we want to see. Well I saw the whole 90 mins from right behind the goal. I saw you get lucky with a deflected goal and I saw Bale dive to cheat a pen from the ref who was 20 yards behind the play. I then saw Arsenal thoroughly dismantle your team in every area of the pitch. You turned up alright, but you got a footballing lesson from a better team We outplayed you and made sure that you were chasing shadows. You looked poor because we made you look poor. I then saw your fans streaming out of the ground because they were so desperate to turn their backs on your humiliated team
He apologised because he was a fraction late and because he seems to be an honest footballer, rare as it may be. I only sympathise with TV and his reaction because of his history with injuries, but I really don't see how he or anyone could have suffered a serious injury from a tackle like Parkers.
I have seen plenty of serious injuries from a player running at pace from 10 yards away with no hope of getting the ball, and instead of easing off when the ball has gone, going in studs first. That is exactly what happened in this incident.
Well what's to debate really? He was about 10 yards away, he did run at TV at pace to close him down, he was late, and he did go in studs first. I suppose it is debatable whether he ever thought he was going to get the ball from that far away - I would doubt it. I actually think he intended to do exactly what he did.
It was one of those tackles which would piss any player off so I can understand TV not wanting to shake his hand immediately, he was probably in pain and it was the wrong time. After he had calmed down he shook Parker's hand, storm in a bloody tea cup, this happens all the time in football - as soon as a player calms down he realises things aren't as bad/serious as he thought
