Fair enough, maybe I think the players are individually better than what they are and that’s why I don’t think they are putting in 100% haha I’m looking at isolated incidents like tadic bottling that 50/50 when he would have been through on goal had he got the break, and yoshida turning his back for the goal
Fingers crossed, I personally feel we lack any form of desperation or commitment. It’s easy to run the yards and press but feel we still lack when it really matters
Not watching this, I suppose the important question is are we fighting? I’m not adverse to going down tbh but not with Gao in control.
Others have disagreed but we appear to be working harder than recent games but for me it doesn’t classify as fighting. Players appear to be lacking any intensity/urgency/desire. They will sprint out and press someone but then once the ball is played around them I’m not seeing any desire to make sure they get back in and cover someone else if they’ve made a mistake for example. Lack of unity and fight imo, it doesn’t matter if someone makes a mistake just make sure you are there to cover them and work for each other. It’s what gets teams out of these situations
