I have given up summarises quite well my thought too. Loosing nine awaygames in a row and most of them without putting up a decent fight makes us the laughing stock of professional football. Harry please have the decency to resign.
Stopped watching after the first goal as we had guests and I thought it was anti social to be swearing at the TV. What I saw up to then was pathetically unadvenuturous. Looks like I missed a fairly typical QPR away performance. We only have to slip up at home once and all is doom again.
Once again, there is huge pressure on our next home win. At some point, as nearly happened against WBA, we will get beaten at home and that could well be the start of a very slippery slope.
I just look at performance after performance and wonder what our highly-paid players actually do in their training sessions, it's almost like they think the ball is explosive, they just shift it on aimlessly and it's gone, time after time after time. It really beggars belief, even with ten men they were still running rings round us until we scored and they got nervous. Totally abysmal yet again, I really should give this up, my blood pressure must be going off the scale...
Agree completely. Why oh why can't we keep the ball better. I reckon any other team in the division would have kept it better than us in that 2nd half!
I honestly believe that we will be relegated. Our luck is going to run out. Our performances at home haven't deserved our points toll.
That wasn't a penalty. Ball was nowhere near him. Thought we played well tonight and Harry did all he could. We very nearly snatched a draw against a vastly superior group of players. Very good attitude and work rate shown by the lads. I'm proud being a QPR fan tonight. And its not often I've felt that over the last few years. (EG This night last year we were beaten easily by a Mickey Mouse Forest side)
Oh well. We will need to win on Sunday to put that result out of our minds. A real shame - and definitively confidence related. Both matches vs Arsenal and Everton could have turned out differently if we'd tried to fight fire with fire. Only consoled by the fact that Burnley, Crystal Palace and WBA all lost.
I don't know what game you were watching but we were piss-poor, especially in the first half. We were still being outplayed up until the penalty when Arsenal suddenly realised we could nick something. Frankly, it was embarrassing...
Eternal, I must admit to seeing tonight's game very differently from the consensus view on this thread. I'm quite taken aback at the negativity. I thought Mutch was one of our better players. Put a real shift in and gave his all. The Arsenal are quality. No other team in PL history, recent or further back, have a better record at ruthlessly dispatching small teams at the Emirates. Yet there they were, shi*ting it in injury time with Rangers going forward, wave after wave. In the end I thought we could have nicked summat. If we apply ourselves with the same attitude against Palace on Sunday then we'll beat them. We're getting better with each game and I'm feeling good after watching that tonight.
You must remember that most of us have forgotten more about the game than swords will ever know. We were terrible until, as you rightly say, we got one back and Arsenal started to panic. If they'd kept 11 players on the pitch we would have lost by 3 or 4 imo. Unbelievable!
Swords I'm not being negative, just saying how I saw it. If Giroud hadn't been sent off we'd have got stuffed. Even with ten men Sanchez ran us ragged
You definitely watched a different game to me swords. ...We were awful first half couldn't get out of our half. ...Couldn't even pass to a team mate no hold up play nothing. ...plan a b c etc is look for a 0-0 and try to nick a point. .....We were fortunate not to be 2 or 3 down at ht. Even with 10 men they were by far the better side, it was only after the penalty that they got nervy and we could have nicked a point. Unfortunately hoilets delivery into the box were awful. .....and yes I thought it was a foul on OBZ that was why he didn't get near that chance. ....
Of course they did. It was Arsenal at the Emirates for God's sake! No wonder fans of other little Clubs think we're living in cloud cuckoo land
Another thing please Harold do not play traore on Sunday. ....Clint for all his short comings is a far better option. ...
That's it Swords, doff your cap and thank the Lord they let us onto the same pitch! I'd like to think that for around £50k a week our players could actually string 8-10 passes together and produce a shot that might trouble their keeper, if that is beyond your expectations you're a bigger mug than I thought...
