Agree with your point about city under pressure, we've done marvelously to catch them up to make the gap just 1pt.

Im glad we've done it with games to play before we meet them in April as I'm hoping the pressure we've applied will lead to them dropping more points before THAT game.

And you're right not to count this side out until its actually over because the collective mentality of this group from the coaches down to the kids is single minded toward achieving greatness like I've never seen before here.

After last year all I wanted this season was to still be in the game at the business end.

So although I'll be disappointed i won't complain if we only end up with the league Cup.

You can tell they have the sniff of trophies in their nostrils.

    Vvd is the man.

    Alisson is the man.

Fabinho is the destroyer of worlds.

The 5 forwards are going to compete with each other.

Imo we won't concede too many cos the guys at the back are really grinding and fighting hard.

It's all about these forwards actually putting the ball away for us.

Speaking on the title race after the game, Reds defender Andy Robertson said: "It was a game in hand. I don’t like games in hand too much, I would much rather points on the board – I’ve always said that. Now we’re on level games.

Yes we were fourteen points behind but as I did at the time, we also two games in hand and we had to play them, that potentially took the gap down to 5pts.

My only concern was about coping with January without the Africans, we smashed it!

We lost 2 games and they have lost three. We drew six games and they drew four games. Our boys going to AFCON affected us but not that much, we coped very well.

It's funny. Season as a whole, I thought we played better in the 2021 half. Feel like we haven't dropped as many points yet in 2022 despite not playing as well.

It's natural to have a dip sometime - at least it wasn't as bad as the same time last year. :)
We've hardly dropped any points despite not being as exciting as we can be.
When the pointy end of the season looms you'd expect us to up our game again, unless they're totally knackered.

Err... they left after cheslea draw.

We won every game bar league cup semi leg 1.

I would say the only effect it had was improving us.
