i don’t think he’s brilliant in many more ways personally. He’s a talented young shot stopper but all round he’s one of the weaker keepers in the PL, made a lot of mistakes this season and his distribution sucks. Makes a few showy saves and everyone w*nks over him. But apparently the top clubs in the PL see it differently to me and they should know.

Seriously, I like him, but think he’s over-rated by Leeds fans in general and gets a free pass for things previous keepers have been slated for… we’ve needed a safe pair of hands this season and I don’t think he has been.

 

Well on average, a goalie should save a penalty approx. once every 10 games. The % average is 12%, this is just purely saves, not where the taker actually misses the target.

Meslier currently has a penalty saved % of 13.6%, on the figures you provided Emu (sorry not going through every game he has played to confirm whether he saved them all or if some were missed, even I'm not that bored of life ), so he is probably performing as you would expect any random Premier League Goalkeeper to perform when it comes to penalty saves.
