I did, for 80 minutes we beat a top 4 side 1-0 and for 70 of those we only had 10 players, and away from home.
I did, because there is still a chance of us reaching the 38 points I predicted we would get back in February, prior to Bielsa being sacked
Got what we expected and to be honest I thought it could be over early. It’s the next three we need to show up for. Players have a 48m bonus at stake so motivation shouldn’t be a problem. Lack of quality could be a problem though
I actually was thinking what a decent full back James would make. He’d go on some lung bursting overlapping runs and then hoof the cross into row z but no one will skin him.
Agreed. I’ve criticised some of his performances and decision making this year (and last actually) but never his work effort. I like that he was p*ssed over the red card (correct decision though it was). He’d get criticised if he didn’t show passion.
Well apart from the result it was an enjoyable and long overdue Leeds Awayday for me at the Emirates. As always a cracking atmosphere from the premier league fan champions, mostly just after half time to the final whistle. Our 10 men in that heat worked really hard and you could see how tired they were towards the end. Watched the recording and Sky obviously had their sound mikes away from the Leeds fans because the support was exceptional and roared us on to the goal. Favourite was 'do do do, football in the library'. Was obvious we need quality, a play maker or two like Pablo and players who can keep the ball. Wouldnt have hurt to have someone who has a fierce shot from long range to give us the option in games like this. Onwards to Wednesday and Chelski.
