Da words of da Brucey: http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Stev...pointed-let/story-23257332-detail/story.html?
I really enjoyed the game but unfortunately I was sitting in the east stand in the middle of a number of arrogant gooners. They were plesant enought until we scored and I let it be know I liked the goal and started to try and stand, quietly clap much to the dismay of my wife who thought it might go tits up at that point. Only to be meet by a barrage of abuse from two overweight cockney john's. Things didn't get any better when we went ahead. It was encouraging that some others told them to leave it out but they insisted the the northern monkeys and little Hull were an embarrassment to the league and should be propping up the championship. Walking back to finsbury park I heard lots of arsenal fans saying the City deserved all three points and perhaps Wenger has to move upstairs and bring in a new manager. Just goes to show how those northern monkeys from little Hull have progressed.
Just back from the match, via a couple of pubs. Arsenal today reminded me of the Leeds teams of the late 60s / early 70s. Full of very talented players that instead of playing resorted to a catalog of dirty, cynical, calculated fouls. I hear that Arsene Wenger has been whining about the referee. Well, I too have a low opinion of the ref. He was weak and was too lenient on Arsenal. Cazorla, Sanchez, Chamberlain and particularly Wilshere were all guilty. Wilshere in particular should have seen straight red for the calculated assault in which he injured himself. He probably got leniency because he came out of it badly and Wenger did the right thing pulling him immediately before he got into further trouble. It really puts the damper on what was otherwise a good day. I hope they win **** all until they start playing the game properly.
i I put £25 on it, whats your point? Its the same as me betting on us to lose every game, if we win or draw i'm happy and if we get beat its slightly less bad.
What a tw t he was. The only time you heard the AFC support was when they scored or whrn they were booing our time wasting . Great stadium but I would not to have to go thrre every week. Must be worst home support in the Prem.
We did time waste, but Dawson's injury was genuine and the reaction was pathetic. And they're hardly well placed to complain about gamesmanship, Sanchez' frog dive in the first half was hilarious and Wilshere's attempts were almost pantomime. Only real downside today was Ramirez, he was absolutely shocking.
Agreed one min before the goal, three on three he took a shot on from 25 yards out. Imagine if he ran it into the corner........
My point? You said you might lump on us getting relegated. I was just interested as to whether you had.
Looking back, what a day yesterday was. Our fans were amazing for 96 minutes and I loved being a part of that. The Emirates meanwhile is just full or tourists who don't get behind the team. We are the real deal and Bruce has done an amazing job. Other teams are slowly starting to take notice. We're now say annoyed losing leads to West Ham, Newcastle and Arsenal - shows how far we have come when you think 10 years ago where we were compared to those. Liverpool really are there for the taking next week (injuries permitting) so let's tune in to see them against QPR. We're currently 9th in the Premier League. Just read that again. 9th. All aboard for Anfield!
Agreed, 10 years ago we played, and beat 3-0, Luton. Look where they are now. I know they're still in Bedfordshire, I mean football wise obviously.
Arsenal fans booing and gestures towards Dawson was disgusting. He could have been seriously injured. Just hope he isnt out for long as he's been outstanding. I havent been impressed at all with Ramirez since he joined us. Thought he was very poor again yesterday. Would rather see Ince or Brady get his playing time. He'll probably be gone in January so why not use the players we'll be keeping.
