Piskie I thought that after Mr Samurai's thread we were all looking towards a new approach here. This seems like a personal dig to me. Back op topic. I don't see how Adebayor will be welcomed back by the fans and can one also be assured that his old ways are behind him?
I think Samurai's thread was about people calming down and not getting upset when someone says something about someone else - as long as it's not calling each other endless abusive names, then people should be allowed to express themselves without fear of reproach. Jayram claimed he was a genius, I'm simply pointing out the evidence that makes that claim wildly inaccurate. On topic - I don't think Adebayor will come back to Arsenal. But if hypothetically it was an option. I'd be one fan who would accept it.
These statements rather appear to be more than merely putting out feelers...... It seems you do change your tune when it suits Piskie. If the original suggestions were merely for debate, why not say so then and not wait for Theo's remarks before attempting to retract yours?
I just think that it's a bit disproportionate. It was one draw. We're still 10 games unbeaten and have only lost one of our last 14. By any measure, that it a good run and suggests that Wenger and the players are getting it right - and that some of the pessimism is an exaggeration of the true situation. Just my opinion of course
Why should I need to? I haven't retracted anything. It's called 'stimulating a debate' - The article is designed to get people talking.
Yeah, of course fella I don't believe the pessimistic crap, but I would never say that someone shouldn't express it, if that's what they believe. But I will always offer a counter view.
Precisely what I thought. Are we trying to encourage RVP to leave us?! He's undoubtedly quality but with every club he's gone to he's shown his ability, followed by a long spell of petulance and burned bridges. Shame because he could have been one of the best there is, instead most will remember him as a massive bell-end.
gotta love the spuds aint ya. November and they talking like they are PL champions.. Seems like deja vu. Remember last season when they were convinced they were gonna win the Champions league . Now they play against shamrock rovers on channel 5.! Come back in may you ****wits. besides which , you buy OUR rejects , not the other way round.
Who has? I've not met many that think we can beat Man City, if you have name them No I don't. Do you? What's the subject of this thread?
We should never have sold him. (However I dont think we will ever make a move to bring him back) I always said Adebayor has the physical attributes to be an even better version of Drogba. he's quick, strong, has an incredible leap and is good technically. Its rare you get a player as big and athletic as Adebayor with good technical skills. He does miss too many chances though. It bugs me we never fight to keep our players. As soon as someone get unsettled we just buckle to the pressure. Alex Ferguson has shown it pays to fight to keep your best players. With both RVP and Adebayor we would be a real force but instead we have Chamakh and Park as sub par back up to an injury prone RVP.
Incorrect this subject is about signing an Arsenal, City and Spurs reject i.e. a reject, reject, reject. I suppose its desperate times for the goonies even if they are in denial.....
Harry probably thinks possession of Adebayor means he actually belong to him. a tax fiddle at the very least .
He is a current Spurs player that you (according to the thread) are interested in. Was it his form sitting on the Man City bench that got you interested?
He's a Man City player on loan at Spurs. You're not even paying half his wages. He is in no way a "current Spurs player."
