I think we all know deep down that we'll be really positive at 2:59pm on Saturday and will then concede after five minutes with an end result of 3-0.

Is that true? I would be surprised if the club don't give him the season.

My comment was said firmly with tongue in cheek Kyle. Who knows what Arsenal will turn-up? Or QPR for that matter, this could indeed be a 0-0 or a 5-5, bloody football eh?

I actually think it will be 1-0 to the Arsenal by way of a shocking defensive mistake by QPR. Probably an un-deserved penalty.

Not going to happen. We don't get penalties at home in the PL. Can't remember how long it's been since we last had one.

Was just recalling the 1984 classic - 2 nil to the hoops, Iain Stewart rasping 30 yarder from the left flank. I was desperately trying to look as miserable as those around me in the North Bank. I went with a couple of Gooners who were also trying to keep me quiet (through fear of association). Let out the largest yell when back on the tube and safely out of N London. Great days

Who would take your penalties now that RVP has exited stage left?

Podolski took one in pre-season away at Koln. I would assume it would be him, as he's german. Giroud had one saved in the COC against coventry (we did actually get a penalty at home, not the league though)

I think we might end up fielding an unchanged lineup for the first time this season, that can only bode well. There hasn't been a poor performance against one of the "top teams" yet, bar perhaps the first half Vs City. It sounds like everyone is genuinely positive in the camp, and all the right noises are coming from the players in interviews. I've just got a feeling we might see a perforamance à la Chelsea/Spurs..

I was nervous about Saturday I was expecting a backlash from last weekend but now I'm quietly confident we may only lose narrowly

Now you're talking Ian, terrific performance that one, Rangers were class that day, off side trap working to perfection and Fenwick scored the other didn't he?

You got me there... When the first went in, in front of the North Bank, I jumped and screamed....then shut up quickly realising I was on my own... My mates were furious. When Stewart got the second, I yelled again, but followed up with "offside!!" and sunk into my spot, smirking for the rest of the game. We never looked like losing that game.

Was at Highbury for the Reykjavik and Partizan matches... Never saw the Rs lose there

Sadly can't make it this weekend

I was at uni in London from 83-85 and rarely missed a game in that time... Rangers were mostly awesome in those days; a few blips and the occasional humdinger.... 5-5 Newcastle. Watched Glenda on the carpet - a 2-2 draw when I got there late and was in the school end top corner. glenda was brilliant. Saw us dicked by Ipswich and the ellerslie seats flying over my head, Ron Atkinson picking up coins on the pitch and leroy rosenior making his debut against York in the milk cup.... I used to see leroy on Sundays in tooting, he tried desperately to get us to Fulham games before he joined the Rs.
