Aaaand guess what? Now Havertz has gotten injured on the Dubai tour too <laugh><laugh> You couldn't make this **** up. Apparently, it's a 'worrying' hamstring injury.

And you know what? The club deserve this for not acting during the last two transfer markets when it was clear our attack was screaming for reinforcements. This isn't hindsight analysis, so many people knew we needed more depth and quality in attack. Some of our players have played far too much football and it shows.

Now look at how threadbare our options are.

Havertz confirmed to be out for the season with a torn hamstring.

I'm sorry but heads need to roll for this. Look at how much football this guy has played, with no rest, and we decided to NOT bring anyone in to ease his load? What the **** were we playing at? Complete and utter incompetence on every level.

Our entire season is now on the brink of collapsing all because the club didn't do their ****ing jobs.

Furious isn't even the right word...

    Yep it's a shambles that.

Martinelli and Havertz out right after the club decided not to bring anybody in.

We could all see this coming a million miles away.

    Meh, he's played 3347 minutes this season. Haaland 3552. Salah 2997. Isak 2569 (no europ). Kane 3116. Mbappe 3168. Bellingham 3455. Gravenberch 3203. Van Dijk 3766. Gvardiol 3706. Valverde 3460. Kulusevski 3269.

Havertz is not really been run into the ground. He's playing about what he should expect as a first choice starting striker for a team playing in europe (which he is, regardless of whether he should be). You can't squad-plan based on predicting three hamstrings going ping at the same time as an ACL for four of your seven attackers.

We've only really got three or four games with this threadbare attack. Saka can start to re-integrate by game 4/5. Martinelli can start to re-integrate game 7/8. Hopefully, if we stumble our way past Juve or Milan we could have five attackers available for the quarter final and hope for the best. Saka, Nwaneri and one other is a semi-decent goal threat attack.

15.2 Leicester A WHITE MAYBE BACK
22.2 West Ham H WHITE SHOULD BE BACK
    26.2 Forest A
4.3 CL L16 SAKA MAYBE BACK
9.3 United A SAKA SHOULD BE BACK
    12.3 CL L16
16.3 Chelsea H MARTINELLI MAYBE BACK
1.4 Fulham H MARTINELLI SHOULD BE BACK
    5.4 Everton A
    8.4 CL 1/4 final
    12.4 Brentford H
    15.4 CL 1/4 final

Dude, how are you just shrugging your shoulders at this whole situation? It's a disgrace. If we'd strengthened like we should have, we'd have been in serious contention for a league title and the CL. Look at what we've done so far without those required additions.

The season has effectively been written off all because the club didn't want to reinforce the squad to 'keep powder dry'. And we're supposed to sit here and lap up the nonsense that there was no-one available who could have helped us.

Do you think our top players are going to look at this situation and believe we can win things in the future with an executive leadership like this? I don't think you're grasping the gravity of the situation. If we **** this Summer transfer window up, the ramifications could be huge in terms of trophies, players and future prospects.

No, he has been run into the ground because we have visibly seen him gassing on empty and collapsing to the ground at the end of matches. And whilst the hamstring injury in isolation may have been down to the training methods (three hamstrings going in close succession? There's definitely training methods issues here), the simple fact is, we have no-one to really rotate with him and share his load or who can now fill in due to the sparse numbers in the attack.

I think some of this is Arteta's fault, but we can't ignore how our lack of quality rotational depth has impacted this too.

Genuinely would take Ben Yedder or Diego Costa on a short term contract to see us through to end of season.

You have made a great call there. The question is, why wouldnt the club fork out a 100K/week for the likes of Yedder for 3 months!

He was charged with rape, attempted rape and sexual assault in 2023, was charged with another count of sexual assault in September last year and was also found guilty of drink driving and failing to cooperate with the authorities.

He's a complete and utter scumbag. Keep him away from the club.

Holy ****... that's a no to Yedder then.. But the idea in principle by cini65 makes a lot of sense, surely any half decent striker with good moral standing whose a free agent can't be any worse than Sterling for a few months.

There aren't really any though apart from Diego Costa. Who was past it two years ago with Wolves, but at least he'd be a presence up front to pull off a forward in the last 20 minutes of games in the next month or two?! Surely just though £200k at him to come and play for us for a couple of months.

Maxi Gomez? But he really is ****e. Though probably no more ****e than Sterling.

I'd take Carlos Vela for the bantz actually. He was a 1 in 2 man in the MLS and there's no higher echleon of sport than that.

You know this is nonsense right? Of course we should have signed a forward everyone knows this - but it does matter who you bring in.

Arteta Publically stated 2-3 times that they intend to strengthen in the Window.

We were however without a technical Director and a new guy was given a shot at the job until a permanent candidate was found.
We know they tried for Isak, Williams and Sesko. .. There's probably others too.

I guess from Arsenals perspective we let Nelson, Neketia, Viera and Balogun go.. so they are not going to just bring in bodies who arnt of a higher level.

Don't forget the most difficult part of Arteta's rebuild when he came in was actually shifting players who were not of the required level but we're on decent contracts.

I think they just couldn't get the players they wanted during the window. Certainly none of this is Arteta's fault he was very forthright about his intentions.

What ****s me off most about this is I still think Liverpool ARE going to drop those points.

This next month was the period where I thought they would loose some ground. They DREW TO Everton and now have Man City, Villa and Newcastle coming up.

We were also in a great position in the UCL - but cant see us doing much without a CF.

We need Saka back. That lineup could still do some damage.
