  2. It’s so heartening to see this prescient thread come alive!

Could Arsenal do a Leeds or a Blackburn?

I’m not saying they will, just asking the question. I’m not wumming.

Their revenue is still miles ahead of yours.

Seventh biggest in Europe. Paid off their new stadium.

They will be fine once they get a good coach

  5. That’s a massive “if” CFC.

    Look at ‘Pool and United.

How long did it take them to find decent managers?

This could pan out very badly for Arsenal.

I’m not saying it will, just putting the idea forward.

Proper Arsenal fans seem to have a different perspective to you. Their not like you, they don't care about revenue, or attendances in 1964, they want to know why 12 years after the stadium went up they are fielding a starting XI like the one against Bournemouth.

  10. With a bit of a push, Burnley could catch the Gunners.

I’m not saying they will, just saying it’s a possibility.

It’s a possibility that we could still finish above Spurs :)

Sporting Index has the Spurs points lead over Arsenal priced at 5.5-7 at season end. Exactly where I bought it a couple of months back.
If you are confident then sell at 5.5 for a tenner and you'll make at least £55. On the other hand if we finish 11 points clear you will lose £55.

I was a market maker on the Stock Exchange so I am very aware of how it works - but thanks for the tip

  15. Did you go bust on Black Wednesday, mate?

    Never mind.

There’s an honesty in stacking supermarket shelves.

Which Tesco do you work in, out of interest?

Nope I made a fortune as was short of the market - thanks for asking.

I don’t work for Tesco and I have never stacked shelves, and it is honest work.

I still work in Corporate Finance, but unlike you I don’t feel the need to brag or bullshit about my life or wealth.

What brought on you to post at 4.57 am?

Did the truth keep you awake ?

  19. If only!

I fell asleep early and woke up at around 4:30am. One of the things I did to get me back to sleep was to browse this board, and your little rant did the trick.

    Thanks for that, G4E.

Truth is he had just got back in from the nights activities on the A35 and probably felt a little too sore to sleep and waiting for the Savalon to kick in.
