I'd start him ahead of Podolski on the left every game. Once Giroud, who is better positionally, is there to accept his dangerous low crosses he'll get plenty assists. Even in games where he was unanimously the villain, he and Wilshere were the only ones even remotely troubling defenses. The rest of the team were keeping score of the number of "safe passes" they made.


He was already one of the top 3-4 players before his injury of course, but that is obviously forgotten.

 

Are you stoned? Gervinho can't pass for toffee, has no spatial awareness and is a complete liability.
