you are comparing Van persie as a youngster , and Torres at the height of his career . and IM talking nonsense ? YOU are saying we are NOT winning things coz we have sold our best players. Well , we had them players when we won nothing so it dont bear any inspection does it. Its got nothing to do with who we are selling. Its about who we are BUYING . Im saying no more on this subject so we will agree to disagree .
Over 100 million. That's called buying the league because of a sugar daddy. No reasonable team would spend that much, especially not one still paying off stadium debts. And yes I do think we can win the league, but it dependson the players but it is defo possible.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11669/8161017? The latest on this story. According to Crystal Palace's manager Dougie Freedman, £11 Mil is cheap for Zaha. But he would say that.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-watch-Crystal-Palace-star-Wilfried-Zaha.html Another update. Our 'chief scout' Steve Rowley has now gone and scouted Zaha. I have a feeling that this is going to happen, and I have no doubt it will piss off many fans.
i like him. We lack strikers and even if we get one in the window no harm in having one promising one for the future....this is a better video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am4apCpS0aM
Don't see the big deal. Arsenal scouts and buys youth players all the time. It's not as if he's going straight into the starting XI
If we got the money everyone says we have (70 Mil?), then I personally do not see the harm in investing in another highly rated youngster.
Wow. Did you doubt Gotze when he was having a dodgy season like he did last year? The boy is 19. Only the freaks (Messi,Cesc, and co) can be that good and that consistent at that stage of their careers.
Even when he was not injured he was not anywhere near as good as he was in the previous season. OX is also injured at the moment, his season is stop, start and he just needs a run of games. Oh and how on earth is he becoming like Theo?
This season, he has has had one really bad game and that was against Olympiacos at home. Against Chelsea he was average but at least created our only goal. He has not had enough time on the pitch this season to assess how he is developing. I have no doubts that we have missed him and even Theo in our last three games. Can't wait until he his back.
From someone who watched him both home and away against Saints last year I can tell you he certainly isn't worth 12 million. He is similar to walcott when you bought him except a bit older, slower, far far more stroppy and immature and has a worse cross and finish. Thinks he's a striker but is played as a winger as well, really really not worth it for a top 4 side, I think i'd be disappointed if we signed him and RW is our weakest attacking position. He will get fans going because of his tricks but see through that and you won't get much else.
I'm really against buying Zaha for such an inflated price. He doesn't strike me as a special talent like Oxo. He's someone who has played well in a couple of games, and been very much overhyped. I'd be disappointed if Wenger invests such a hefty fee in him, as he'll be sold on for far, far less in a few years time.
