Just like to point out that I predicted the exact score for the Stoke game and named RVP as a scorer, but only awarded myself 2 pts instead of 6 - as it was before the rules needed to be changed (and the scoring) to avoid people getting points for the correct result only and naming 11 different scorers in an attempt to get bonus points. So technically I should be ahead of Jayram, but I'm still confident of finishing above him, even with a self imposed handicap.
That's what real integrity is - but I could always award them to myself subsequently if you feel I have none ?
But saying ' I don't think, on current form, we can win this game ' - whilst predicting a win is hedging your bets. If we win, you'll say ' I predicted we would win' . If we don't you'll say ' I said that I didn't think we could win this game'
You're right you do only get points for the actual prediction - maybe it should be expanded to include points of view too ?
I think saying 'I don't think on current form we can win this game' whilst predicting a win, negates both the actual prediction and the get out clause.
Don't worry, your prediction and belief about not being able to win this game on current form, have both been firmly noted
