What an unworthy response! Either answer the points (which I think deserve an answer from a Utd point of view) or ignore. Your response did neither.

I hate that Wenger turned Arsenal into a side that played football, it was much easier to dislike them when they played out their boring 1 - 0's for years and years. That they have gained a reputation for playing for good football under him is outrageous. Not content with moving into North London and stealing our place in the 1st Div they are now attempting to move in on our reputation for good football. Their board is still true to type, stiff and unimaginative and just lining their own pockets.

They will always be Boring Arsenal, can't wait for Wenger to retire.

The rest are just opposition, who haven't a clue what Spurs are about.

There's three basic reasons to hate a club - their manager, their players, and their fans (although, in some cases, their owners are an equally valid reason), so based on that...
Manager: Man Utd, Arsenal, West Ham, Liverpool, QPR
    Players: Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool
Fans: Liverpool, Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal

I left QPR and city off the players list because, whilst Barton and Balotelli are utter ****ers, they don't have three or four players that are routinely at the centre of all that is irritating.

I understand your logic but apart from Terry and Cole, who else do you hate from Chelsea? (and not just because they play for us!)

Lampard - and Hazard has the makings of a world class bell end.

He's as much of a twat as Terry.

A case could be made for Cahill, for his demands for a ludicrous wage increase - he wanted three times his Bolton wages to move, FFS.

<laugh> How? You have to explain a hatred, unless it's like my irrational one for Michael Owen.

and paper talk, you have no solid proof he wanted 3 times his wages. Every player we get linked to apparently is a mercenary, not the fact we win a trophy almost every season. It was between ourselves, you and Arsenal and it isn't a dig at you lot when I say we have won more trophies in recent times.

  10. For me, the most disgraceful thing about CFC is its mad-dog Russian oligarch owner.

I know that the Chelsea boys on here can hardly be expected to turn on him, but even they must, in their private moments, know that he, with his revolving-door policy of replacing managers who look capable of actually winning things for him, is probably the sole reason why Chelsea haven't won the EPL title again, since Mourhino.

All of my fallouts with the Chelsea boys centre around their refusal to openly acknowledge the fact that he is as much a curse to their club as he (or, rather, his money) is a blessing.

Mate, we won it under Carlo.

I do admit, I hate his manager-firing policy but we've coped brilliantly with it and won a trophy virtually every single season, compare that to Arsenal with their long serving 'professor' of football who hasn't won one in seven years.

We were the only club to be in full negotiations with Cahill last summer yet he didn't want to join us from Bolton. Was that because we couldn't agree reasonable wages, or because Chelsea tapped him up to let him know they'd be after him in January? Eitherway, someone doesn't come out of it looking very good. Not that I really care, I'd rather have what we've got.

(again not a dig at you lot) It was well rumored that all three of us were after him, it was virtually up to him to choose. Anyway I thought 'Arry just ended his interest in him in the summer?

Anyway, why are we the only ones lambasted about manager changing? Since Roman purchased us, you lot have had: Hoddle, Pleat, Santini (I know I know), Jol, Ramos, Harry and now AVB.

Ranieri, Mourinho, Grant, Scolari, Hiddink (like santini not sacked), Carlo, AVB and RDM. Just one more.

You're right, I believe, we weren't back in for him in January but that has little to do with anything. We, amongst others were rumoured to be in for Hoilett, does that mean he should've held out for us rather than going to QPR? You'd be daft to turn down a move elsewhere without something more concrete than rumour.

I believe the asking price was too high in the summer, in January (when Bolton were in dire straights), it was lowered and he wanted to join us. My point is that the papers made him out to be a total mercenary just because he joined us, like they do with every single player.

  17. My apologies.

I suppose what I meant to say was that Mourhino looked like he could win it for him, given the necessary time.

I know it is popular for people to diss Mourhino for his alleged negative style of football (base on that one game he had against Barca in the CL final - which he won), but I saw quite a few of your games when he was in charge, and I have to say that you played some of the best football I have ever seen you play. It was far from boring.

  18. The thing is, though, Drogs, that all of our managers have been crap and deserved to get the sack (perhaps with the sole exceptions of Jol and Redknapp, who were sacked for other reasons). But most of your managers were bloody good!

Pleat was a caretaker, so it's actually two.
You did sack the most successful manager in your history and also the only manager to win the double at Chelsea, too.
We've got quite a high recent turnover, but I don't think anyone's matched yours in English football.

Yeah, of course, I'd have loved it if Mourinho had been our manager until now! But in hindsight it hasn't really hindered much in terms of success.

I agree with you but the same could be said for us, Grant was never going to be full time manager - Steve Clarke got us to the final in 2008 not Grant! Even had Grant won the thing I would still want shot of him. Scolari was a complete disaster and I'm glad we got rid of him. Hiddink we can't really comment on as it was his choice to leave due to international commitments! Which leaves Carlo and AVB, any Chelsea fan will agree when I say we should never have dismissed Carlo and that has been Roman's biggest mistake imo. AVB, well I'm torn. I was genuinely excited in this 'project' he spoke of but truth is he couldn't handle the big names at the club, and no matter what you think of them, it's a managers job to contain their egos and not alienate anybody - I mean what he did to Alex and Anelka was disgraceful! He may well do a good job at Spurs but it still won't change my opinion on how badly he handled our players at Chelsea.
