Really difficult decision - could be any of Sanchez, Ozil, Santi, Ramsey or even Coq... I think I'll have to say Sanchez Santi Ramsey But Ozil played so well I don't think he deserves to be left out!
No idea how anyone can not have ozil in the 3. His tricks and flicks today were on a different level. The flick out wide for Sanchez was orgasmic. At one point he played a one two with half our team whilst walking through almost the entire hull team. His off the ball running, the couple of back heels in the first half. Immense. Mine are: Sanchez (MoM) Ozil Cazorla Hard to separate the three as I thought they all played very well. Ramsey played well but not to the level of those three.
Bellerin (MoM) Kosc Walcott I've put Walcott in as he seemed really up for it and had some quality moments when he came on. Thought about having Ramsey in there maybe.. Thought Kosc cleaned everything up and had a tidy game. And bellerin was creating most of our chances by providing us with real width and pace.
I must admit I missed the 1st 30 mins (though doesn't sound like I missed much!) So based on that I'd say Bellerin Wilshere Walcott I know Walcott replaced Wilshere and neither played a full match, but all our dangerous play came down the right, and they were the only ones (with Bellerin) who either got beyond the defence, or dragged the defence inwards to give space to Bellerin. Gibbs was disappointingly anonymous. But Kos and Merts played well (mostly), recycling the ball quickly and ensuring new attacks started before Sunderland could reset.
Thread updated. I will update again after the fa cup game and announce player of the season and each competition, post top five lists etc...
really, really tricky but I'll try Santi Sanchez Merts But honourable mentions to Walcott, Ramsey, Bellerin, Szczesny and Nacho!
