I love how this thread has gone from some posh spoilt rich kid whinging about 5Op on a programme , to all the old fellas reminiscing about their 5Op packets of ***s and getting in on the North Bank for under a quid.
£3.50 for a programme isn't too bad really. Hearts charged £3 when I used to go, and the last time I was at Tynecastle was 2006. Also, if you think Arsenal tickets are expensive, the cheapest I can watch a Queen of the South game for is £15. A true ****ing rip-off.
You want a ripoff, try Brighton and Hove Albion. £25 for their cheapest ticket. Newport county is also a joke, £20 pound.
I guess it's what the smaller teams have to do to survive, but in no way does it constitute value for money. It's a reliance on the sentimentality of fans and little more. Again, it makes me put Arsenal's admitted money grabbing initiatives in perspective.
Queens make Brighton look like the 1970 Brazil team, trust me. I work with pension-age women who are fitter than Queens players.
I criticise the club routinely, but i never criticise the ticket prices. £30 to watch a CL team is a bargain.
