    Today? It's not just today.

Twenty games and fewer than twenty points. If this continues then the season is going to end on sub-thirty points.

Played well but at this level you have to score when on top. Missed some glorious chances today. Well played Tiote and Sissoko and I think Thauvin worth more game time.

Let's be fair, I'm firmly in the sack Steve camp, but today was a great performance. Is he responsible for Gini and Mitrovic, the latter being ****ing awful at football, missing fantastic chances?

If we'd played like that all season, we'd not be where we are. Problem is, we only play that well against good sides, and still lose <laugh>

Spot on, Tiote and Sissoko were brilliant. Colo, Mbemba, Janmaat, Perez were all wonderful also.

If we go down it wont be because of today's performance. If we played like that every week we'd be nowhere near the bottom three - on the one proviso that we sign a goalscorer! Goals make points, not chances!

First time this season I've been happy with a Man U win. Going to be tough, and they need to get a striker in as soon as possible. Mitrovic needs time but we no longer have any. We need goals.

We need to somehow play like that at home. For home matches, get Colback benched, keep Tiote, pull Wijanldum infield and stick Thauvin on the wing. First things first, they have to buy a centre forward who can score.

I thought Colback played well today. That's not been the usual this season so far though.

No, I agree, he was good today and is useful away from home to let us grow into games. But if we don't start beating teams, we're going down, and we're not beating anyone with Colback as has been demonstrated most of the season. Created zero, scored zero.

Lots of talk of heartbreak, NUFC lose despite a battling performance, lots of chances squandered etc, etc,
We still lost, got no points, it doesn't matter if we were great today or complete ****e, we lost again.
Agree that Gini needs to move position, Perez went to sleep for the goal and if he is going to play Thauvin, then for christs sake give him more than 5 or 10 mins.
    Arrrrrrrgggghhhhh l just hate this.
    Buy a bloody striker
    Okay rant over!

SM came across really well in his post match interview.
Gave hints that there will be incomings...

Problem is there has been too many words and not enough action in the transfer market since Ashley took over, strikers needed and more than one.

Hints? Needs to be giving more than hints.

Mitrovic with a prolific strike partner will be lethal. His hold up/ link up play is excellent. He will not score 15/20 goals without someone alongside him.

Flamini should have been sent off for that head high Kung fu kick as well. We haven't had a pen or red card for the opposition in so long, and Flamini hacks down 2 players, no yellow, then wrecklessly kicks someone in the head and gets a yellow <doh>

Unfortunately by that time they had scored and Mitrovic had missed brilliant chances. I have no faith the lad will ever come good. He's just a slow bull in a china shop. Diego Costa without the ability.

Mitro holds up play well and is strong. I agree he needs a strike partner. More someone he can bring into the game and lay the ball off too.
Mitro may well come good with more time, but time is not something l feel we have.

Cisse was a completely different kettle of fish when he was playing alongside Demba Ba.
Get the right partnership going and things will look very different.

I don't think he will, reason being he's not intelligent. Today he was charging(like a stricken turtle, but charging nonetheless) at goal, 2 Arsenal defenders in front of him, 2 Team-mates were in support to his right, and he delayed, and delayed, and got tackled. A simple pass and we were through on goal.

Example 2, Gini passed him the ball, and made a 1-2 run which would again have seen Gini through on goal. The useless fat lump did not spot this however and collapsed in a heap trying to turn, as if he was the QE2, although I reckon that has a better turning circle.

Get Gini central and see if that helps with mitro. We have to move our best player to the middle, particularly with tiote coming back to form, get Thauvin on the wing and accept that colback is perhaps not that good. It feels like we're close to getting something good, surely Steve can see it?

    Or buy a striker.
