It's all about team spirit.. if his head is turned then so be it. As ranieri said if a player didn't want to stay he would drive them to the station personally. and let's be really honest - his superb season was only really one season - and 20+ million for a 29 year old is decent business also look at his goal record over the last 4 years - it really is all about this season 12/13 - 5 goals (championship) 13/14 - 16 goals (championship) 14/15 - 5 goals (premiership) 15/16 - 24 goals (premiership) yep we would be disappointed to see him leave - but again 20+ million should be able to buy us a younger 15-20 goal striker!!
If they were out there, you can bet that Arsenal would have got one. The more I think about it, the more I can see this happening. All this talk about loyalty is bollocks at the end of the day - we pay him to do a job and he does it. Someone else is offering him more money so as the man is reaching his twilight years as a footballer who can blame him for cashing in? Goodbye Vardy if you leave - thanks for the party.
We played to his strengths hence why he done so well and players like Kramaric struggled By the sounds of it we want Musa and Slimani and if we can get that for a net spend of £10M then its good going
Apparently that was Liverpool's bid - as Arsenal are in Champions League, there is a clause in Vardy's contract that means we have to accept a bid of around £20m
Apparently wages are a big factor though - because of FFP we can't offer £60k+ which allows other teams to swoop in.
It was always going to happen. At Norwich we could not attract Premiership standard players because of where we are geographically and our inability to pay high wages so we ended up playing Bassong at CB and leaked goals. The only consolation is that it seems quite a lot of money for a 29 year old who relies on speed quite a bit.
Why is somebody comparing Leicester to Norwich Edit: Not exactly comparing but randomly talking about Norwich's transfer policy
Apparently we are prepared to give Jamie Vardy improved terms. (We would have to match or beat Arsenal's £120K or no point offering it) At the min Vardy is weighing up his options Not a forgone conclusion either way
It's Ox-Cham we are interested in as Wenger wants to get rid - l would prefer out of him and Walcott as well.
