Every fan hates to see their star player get poached but at the end of the day Vardy is just another player using clubs like ours as a stepping stone trying to impress not just Leicester but all the big clubs out there and whatever fans think they don't come any bigger than Arsenal...You hear fans say that he should stay another season.....Why? He has done what he set out to do and get himself noticed and well done on achieving that......He owes Leicester thanks for bringing him to the club and that's all as he has worked hard and brought the club with his goals the title and riches so now he has an opportunity to to step up to one of the Big clubs and you cant blame him for that. He will always hold great regard for Leicester and should he score against you i bet he wont celebrate like he would against other clubs....You cant disrespect Vardy for wanting to leave as his loyalty is to himself and his family and Leicester was a job and a stepping stone to further his career...

Totally agree, that's life and football unfortunately
We were warned months ago by Southampton fan to get ready to have our best players cherry picked and it seems it is starting.
Remember no name on the back of our famous blue shirt will ever be bigger than our badge on the front of the shirt.
If Vardy leaves , good for him and all the luck in the world, our scouts will work their magic again and bring in quality, exciting replacements and come the start of the season we will have a really strong squad ahead of what is going to be one hell of a season for us.
    Exciting times ahead

I think Ranieri will look at playing a slightly different style now. We like to hit Vardy early and while we need to keep that as an option we need to make sure we have more about us

Keeping Mahrez, Drinkwater and Kante has become even more important

Two seasons ago Southampton after doing exceptionally well had most of their stars poached and they did really well the following season. that was down to brilliant management of his replacement players and the manager you got is one of the best in the premiership imo He will replace Vardy with someone he can mold into Leicesters Philosophy of playing style and any other player that leaves.... The problem Southampton have got now is teams are looking at their manager now and its rumored he could be joining Everton and that must be concerning as its much harder to replace a good manager as who is going to mold him as all managers have their own philosophy of playing so i wont be surprised if the saints wont be as good this season....Leicester will be fine as long as Rainier is the boss..

Anyone else think Mrs Vardys stirring the pot? i honestly don't see whats wrong with this myself :emoticon-0112-wonde

It seems like shes gone out of her way to make a Leicester fan (and by extension, the rest of us) look bad.

I really hope he doesn't go before the euros, i'd have no reason left to support England!

Oliver Giroud has said he has been told Vardy wants to sign for Arsenal. Apparently Jack Wilshere turned Vardy's head at England training. Shame Drinky wasnt there to tell him to **** off

Whats the odds all the French players are in Kante's ear

So vardys release fee is closer to £30m not £20m that has been touted, does nobody else think this is a great deal for us and him given his age?

We'll never get that type of money again and for him represents a move that he only ever dreamed of.

Fair play to the lad and I think he should do it, if it's all true. Makes a superb story for him, plus a great deal for the club.

£30M is great money for a 29 year old 1 dimensional striker

Thats not slagging him off as to us he is worth £30M but when he is on the wing or bench for Arsenal because he doesnt fit the style of play will he be worth it then

Great point, but that's not our problem. They could buy him for £30m and have him selling match day programs for all I care.

One thing is worth noting - any team he has played for, he's scored plenty for, and they've ended up top. For us twice, fleetwood et al.

If they play him then he will score.

I won't boo him should he leave (and it looks a certainty now). Cash the money and replace him, every club has to deal with it and we will too.

Vardy will get a shock when instead of Drinky putting him in with a ball over the top its taking Ozil and Co 20 passes to make the halfway line

I am really struggling to understand why Arsene Whinger would buy JV. Had he been in the process of buying Kante, then I could understand that it would be a signing that would win them the league. Cant believe he is looking to change formation to accommodate JV - he like his tippy tappy too much. Just really strange.

Anyway, after years of watching mediocre/apalling footie (apart from Gillies/Wallace/Bloomfield/O'Neill years), I wish JV all the best and thanks for helping bring something that I never thought I would see - the Premiership Champions at the KP.

Mahrez or Kante would fit into any style of football as they are that good. But Vardy only suits fast football. Not possestion football

Wenger will do a Hodgson and bang him on the wing or bench

This could be a superb deal for us. Great money for his age and could he score 24 for us in the pl next season?

Who knows but if he wants to go then let him.

    Kante and mahrez however.

If he was 21 then I'd agree. But at his age it's excellent business for us both.

Also gives any strikers coming in that extra incentive as no one is first choice anymore.

This is his first international championship too, he'll be knackered for next season. It could be a blessing.

... I'm disappointed that's true ...but as I said when Cambiasso went ...nobody is irreplaceable... it may even help to attract real quality both in terms of showing how you can progress with us but also that they will not be competing for a spot with the 'main man' ..

... lets sign up Musa if he goes and another of similar quality and wish him all the best for the future in finishing second to us in all competitions...:)

    Saints Fan here in peace.
First thing congratulations on winning the title.
I honestly believe the England set up has something to do with players movement to
The so called bigger teams, we had 4 players break into the England team and within
No time they had all gone to Liverpool. The only reason we still have Jay Rod is due to injury.
Lots of Liverpool players going to the Euro but to be honest they aren't good enough especially
The midfield players. No doubt bigger teams will be in for our best players and it even looks like Koeman
Is off. Unfortunately this is what is wrong with Football today and England will suffer because of it.
Hope your team can stay strong and move forward.
