Perez the new Shola. Going to pick up hundreds of appearances, very few goals and be as utterly forgettable overall as he is in the majority of matches he plays.
How is it possible to play against this Arsenal side and not even look like scoring? I mean, we're threatening a bit, but there's such a toothlessness it's embarrassing.
Because we have crap wingers and our central midfield has 0 creativity. Not watching the game but with that middle 4 it doesn't matter who we have up front we will always look ****e.
We do just look like some plucky lower league side. Bit of bluster, but just absolutely **** all quality where it matters. Think Rafa's tactics are spot on. He just has such **** players we can't do **** all with the football.
Have we really got nobody better than ****ing Perez?? How much longer do we have to suffer commentators saying - rightly, by the way - "the quality in the final third hasn't been good enough"?
Not just that he IS ****, he does sometimes look confident enough to shrug it off. But after his abysmal 43rd minute "pass" out of play, his head was just down for a good 20 seconds. Heads gone is the phrase. We're probably half decent when we can put a fit and on-their-game Rondon, Muto, Shelvey and Kenedy on the pitch. But when you're having to revert to Hayden, Perez, Murphy and - although he's been ok all season - Joselu, it's always going to be a struggle. Most of these players are Championship at best.
He's utter ****. He had that little purple patch, but otherwise garbage. He's - as usual - back on for the second half.
