I really don't buy this argument that our money/voice is irrelevant. Do we just keep quiet, carry on as normal? Change is never going to happen with that approach. I accept boycotting the stadium is a big ask for some fans, refusing to buy merchandise, match day programs could be an alternative. We have to hit the balance sheet, as it appears nothing has worked thus far.
If we continue giving up our money then we are contributing to the farce and indicating we are OK with it. We see the owner and the guys up top are a joke, we have to show that we aren't going to accept it. The optics are important. The club already looks bad enough. Our continuous attendance and purchasing stuff makes us even look worse. It is the only way I think anything changes
I am just wondering as to what degree of financial pressure can be put on Kroenke, without crossing said fine line and making on-pitch matters far worse than they already are. I mean, if AFC suddenly became worthless tomorrow, would it even vaguely affect Kroenkes' wealth. No doubt he still has hundreds of millions accrued from other sources. The same situation exists with Joe Lewis and Spurs. However there is strong rumour that he has a bottom line figure upon which he would sell Spurs immediately without even blinking. As I said before, does anyone know whether Kroenke has similar intent, or what his vision is for the club N years from now.
