Struck by this comment

“fans were not just an ingredient for football, they were the ingredient.

Personally never been a singer and a shouter at games but do recognize the importantce of atmosphere at a game and the part the more vociferous of the fans play in the success of the team.

Here is a club listening to its fans
Acun has i believe has got the message but more food for thought

Sorry but another good article in the Athletic that is worth a read. I like the bit where it talks about the set piece coach coming to the touch line and observing the set piece and sometimes giving instructions. Clearly we need an "Anti Set Piece Coach" given all the goals we have been shipping. If I were Dawson I would be spending much of the training sessions working on this. Or maybe we can hire Brucie as the "Anti Set Piece coach". Give him a little bit of extra income to pay for the maintenance of his Algarve property. He could also spend many hours with Greaves passing on his skills at scoring goals from corners. Clearly it would be money well spent.

Also worth noting that pi....g around at he back sometimes has the tactical benefit of inviting the press allowing the goalkeeper then to go long. So its not all bad.
