I thought the bin bag protest wad to highlight the empty seats and the cost of seats at arsenal...a mate of mine has a season ticket there and says thete are plenty of empty seats but the attendance is always given as full. They say that as a season ticket holder you can sell your match ticket back to the club and then the club sell it on....only the club cant cos they are too ecensive therefore the club are not making as much as they should be...hence the protest. My mate disagrees with it too by the way.
"Loyal supporters, Loyal supporters..." Wow! 8 Times+ whilst a teenager. Cym - How many? Trying to reckon myslef, but I'd say 500+ at a guess.
There was A LOT of emtpy seats in the Emirates but the official attendance was around 59.5k?!?! Even the commentators on TV highlighted the empty seats and called the attendance read out in the stadium a joke.
Those were not empty seats. They were full of people wearing red bin bags who 'blended' in with their surrounds.
i read somewhere on here that its not how many turn up on matchday its how many tickets they sell for the game
It's probably the season ticket holders that don't go. There are quite a few well to do people that hold season tickets, so they can afford to buy them and go whenever they want. Ideally you want to have close to capacity for the sake of the atmosphere gearing on the team, but it is up to them if they want to attend as they have ultimately paid for the tickets....
