If the team put in a pathetic performance where it doesn't even look like they are trying then I have absolutely no problem with booing.
Some of you need to stop living in the past, we have motor cars now and everything. Should I be grateful that my modern car is much better than a Vauxhall Viva even though it breaks down ? Should I not be annoyed when my LED TV decides to play silly buggers because it is not a valve TV ? If my computer crashes twice a year should I not get irate just because I don't have to use a pen and paper ? Saying that we should be grateful for the team we have now in comparison to what we had in the 70s and 80s is nonsense. It is called progression, development, we should bloody be better than we were then considering how bad we were then !!!
I think we are damn good now considering most of our star players could earn significantly more elsewhere. If you boo them. If you get rid of Wenger. They will Leave. And we will not spend one single penny more on players, because we havent got it to spend.
In the 6 months to Nov. 2010, Arsenal Football Club (including net transfer receipts) made a loss of 6M. Only Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle have more debt than we do.
That's just it and we have gone backwards for the greater part of these last seven years. We didn't replace our key players when they left and the youth policy failed because several of these players have not shone while others have left. While Wenger may have finally realised the pitfalls of this grand plan, he should really have made sure we had proper cover when it was quite clear that Fabregas and Nasri were leaving. We are paying for this and the cumulative effect of all the failed polices. The institution of the youth plan may have ben in response to the need to watch our spending because of the stadium but for all and whatever reason, we have slipped away from being competitive. What else can one say about this when we get beaten not only by the leading teams of the EPL but also by newly-promoted and mid-ranked ones? It is time to change much at The Emirates but how much change would be enough to ensure that we get back to the winners' circle? Quite a lot I think and beginning with the mentality of the board, our manager and indeed some of our players.
I didn't see it and so don't know. My point was that on a day when it went so wrong, it would be understandable. I was at WHL in the 70's when your lot put 5 past us (Brady scoring a peach ). Had I not been in the Arsenal end with my cousins (Gooners/Black sheep of the family) I would have booed my heart out.
No one is booing the likes of RvP, or any players for that matter and you have no evidence for your second point.
Apparently numerous complaints from users about his style and upsetting other posters here .... diddums !!
Syd has given his reasons for why Jayram has been banned. Can we please now draw a line in the sand and stop posting about Jayram on every thread
You see this just shows how misguided you are. Simply not being 'a valve TV' does'nt cause your LED TV to break down. It's all about perspective. Perhaps if you had bought a quality LED like a SONY or Panasonic you would'nt have the issue in the first place. I guess we could apply the same argument to Arsenals transfer policy. The board want to save money so Wenger has to buy cheap or buy young.
