  2. I don't see any credit for AFC in last night's performance.

    They did what they had to do, which was go out and attack. What none of us counted on was that Bayern would play Chelsea-like anti-football and simply bank on Arsenal not scoring enough goals (which, ultimately, paid off for them). Part of me was actually hoping that Arsenal got the goal they needed to take them through, not because I wanted the Goons to progress, but because I despise the kind of anti-football that Bayern played. Bayern's fans could not have been entertained by what they saw from their team, and if the club had any decency it would refund the ticket price with a written letter of apology.

    Any team can be made to look good against a side that has committed itself not to attack you.

  3. By the way, I note that Whinger has cleverly tried to deflect blame away from his miserable management of the Gunners by saying that the EPL and English football is to blame for no English sides progressing to the final of the CL, this year. <doh>

    No, Whinger, it isn't! That's what happens, sometimes.

    Don't keep blaming other factors for your own failings, pal.

    The world is filled with people who really don't deserve their good fortune, people who are truly evil, people whose success is living proof that there is no God. And then there's Piers Morgan. To think that after all he did, someone would give him a very high paying and ridiculously easy job on a piece-of-crap television show. Now if they'd change the name of the show to something like Britain's Got a Gigantic Twat, maybe I could see it...

    I don't think Piers Morgan has 1 redeeming quality. He would better serve humanity by being cut up as a donor.

    well, I am having a little chuckle still.

    As for chopping Morgan up for parts. He could be used as spares for Hiag as they were surely seperated at birth :)

    Spuds end of season bottle job looks like it could be on again <ok> Win our game in hand and we're one point behind you, with you still having to play Chelsea, Everton and City. If we overtake you again, there are going to be so many HAIG quotes that will come back to haunt him - again <laugh>

    The ones that you admitted came back to haunt you last season, remember ?

    You've probably tried to blank them from your memory seeing as they were so calamitous. One of the many that sticks out for me was this, just before the NLD when we spanked you 5-2 . . . . the first time.

    <laugh>

    There's a whole library of HIAGism's <ok>
