Thanks Spurf. Although I've been on the site since Feb I don't post much and I don't know this poster. I looked at his post with screwed up eyes for 5 minutes before responding. I don't like the sound of him and he's already sent me private messages about Hitler and the Holocaust. Can we please get rid of him. You are where you are because your superiors, eg Arsenal & Liverpool, have been out of sorts. Tottenham's current league position is an anomaly that will be corrected by the end of the season. However, you have been playing well and if that continues and VDV manages to get away with a few more blatant hand balls in the opposition's penalty area, you could still make the lesser European cup. If you think that Liverpool under Woy were our superiors then you're a bit of a tart. I want to meet them at Anfield and like WBA yesterday at their strongest. We'll see who is superior come season's end.
I very much disagree with your comment regarding Levy and trophies. I don't think Levy is anywhere near as impulsive as Abramovich who sacks at will. For him, I don't think it is about winning trophies as much as it is about making progress and reaching targets. Whilst he's made some errors in judgement (sacking of Jol halfway through a game), he seems to be a very level headed chairman who cares very much about his club. I believe he understands that, whilst Spurs are a team that can challenge for trophies, its more important to improve the league position and finish regularly in the top 4 and qualify for the CL. Levy will stick by Redknapp as long as Spurs improve every year, even if it means remaining trophyless for a few years.
