Beyond a joke, Sagna brings down Suarez, quick free kick taken and when a goal is to be scored then whistles to bring back play.

The man has not got a spine.

Don't normally defend refs but in his defense he blew the whistle straight away to bring the play back and book Sagna - still it was Suarez so shouldn't have even been a free kick - surely simulation ;)

I think he let play go until the ball was going to be crossed, I think he got a shout it was a bookable offence,

If ref's let play carry on in that situation or take a quick free kick and a goal resulted it would be a better deterrent then any yellow card, it is an incentive ti cheat.

Agree with that. Personally think Sagna should have walked - cynical professional foul - but protected by current 'rules'; not last man so not red.
