Kind of a weird half, really. For the first, what 30 minutes, we were pretty decent - but 2-0 down thanks to being poor at both ends of the pitch. Then for the last, 15ish minutes, we were torn apart but managed to keep it at 2-0.
In the arsenal end. We aren’t that bad and could’ve had one or two goals, but they scored and made chances way too easily. 2-0 keeps us in the tie slightly but it’ll need more discipline in defence to make anything from this game.
****housery for their second as well. We were attaching with momentum, one of theirs stay down and then we have to start again from the back. Gifted it to them but was a shame to lose all the momentum we had in attack.
Right, got the kids off to sleep, all nappies changed. Feeling more positive. We’re going to win 3-2, redmond with 2 and Austin coming in for winner.
IPTV seems to be up and down every time saints play. It has been pretty much problem free for the last two weeks letting me watch anything I wanted. Today has been hit and miss and was probably only up for about 25 minutes of the first half, hence having Solent on in the background, which also keeps losing sound.
Not that I'm sad to see Stephens go off, but the problem with subbing him rather than Vestergaard is that Vestergaard regularly seems to be a disaster when playing in a two (which I suspect is why it's usually him to be sacrificed when we ditch a CB).
Whereas my clearly much more negative outlook has been "We get the next goal, Arsenal will just send for Auba."
