  2. Well, they certrainly made up a story about there being a power shift in North Lo....

    Er...

What I mean is, they've clearly researched the subject matter and put forward a strong human-interest item that is 100% accurate!

If the fan sites are anything like the posters on here, if there were any chinks in that story they would have torn it to shreds.

It's more likely that the story is accurate, than simply being made up, but hey, there's a whole other thread for that eh ? <laugh>

All accurate in your vivid, wishful imagination! But, please, go ahead if it makes you happy.

Accurate according to the Telegraph, Independent, BBC 5 live etc etc. What's more likely ? It's accurate, or it's rubbish because you say it's rubbish ?

Your selective gathering of "the facts" is very amusing, but doesn't make it any more of a fact.

You seemed more 'hissy fit' than 'amused' But the accuracy of the stories holds water (to quote your backfired Titanic reference)

What's more likely to be true. The reports in the Telegraph and the Independent or what's in your head ?

Where have I said its rubbish? Merely that it's unsubstantiated, not attributed to any reliable source, and is total speculation.

Why should I take anything that's speculated upon by a newspaper as the facts?

The Telegraph and the Independent are both fairly well respected newspapers. The story makes a lot of sense considering the circumstances. Of course I can't say it's 100% fact, only Adebayor and Spurs can say that. If they thought what was being reported was untrue, the club could quite easily issue a statement saying that.

Anyway, there's a whole thread for this on the 'Mighty Juggernaut' thread. For somebody who's 'bored' of it all, you're doing a great job of keeping it going across two threads <laugh>

The club doesn't confirm or deny rumours. The rest, you're asking me to speculate on speculation, I'll leave that to you.

You said they'd tweeted a comment that said otherwise to what was being reported.

You seem to be having difficulty differentiating between a statement being issued and a response to a speculation and rumours.

To clarify, the club issued a statement stating that termination of contract had been agreed with Adebayor. They have not, to my knowledge responded to any of the subsequent newspaper speculation about the terms.

You seemed to have difficulty differentiating between the terms of the severance package and the termination of the contract.

When I posted the link to the articles about Spurs paying Adebayor £100k per week, you were insistent that he and the club had tweeted information that suggested otherwise. But you haven't been able to provide any links or evidence to them. It seems that actually you just got a little bit confused between the contract termination, without realising the terms of that termination.

I said only that the club and the player had stated that agreement had been reached to terminate the contract. The newspaper speculation is subsequent to the event, not preceding it.
