which part.
cant imagine we would be top of his list for transfers
bound to be others after him if he is available
and if no one else wants to sign him we should get him for a whole pile less than 8 mill
i have always liked him and i hope we do get him but the above still stands

'If no-one else wanted him why should we?'

Do we only sign players other teams want?

Whether or not anyone else wants him he would be a top signing for us. Also, the fact we are a London team is an advantage...

still cant get exited about yet another rumour
still cant believe he would choose to come to loftus rd
how much does he earn a week
yes he would be a good signing but i bet if a northern team offered him 500 a week more than us he would go there.

Spot on Kiwi
Defoe will not be coming to QPR and people that actually think he will are deluded.

Lets think about:
Arry won't let an important player like him leave.
QPR would not be his first choice.
Because of England he wants first team football so he leaves a top four team for a team that will be near the relegation by Jan?
Wages (TF has said he won't pay silly money)

I really think our fans that actually believe these fantasy rumours really need to use a bit of common sense.

I think Defoe would be a fantastic signing for us - can we realistically expect better than him, he has got to be one of England's top stikers! I will be very happily surprised if he comes to us though!

Spurs striker Jermain Defoe is top of Neil Warnock’s wish list this time around and he remains interested in Bassong, while others could also come into the equation depending on who becomes available.

Defoe is one of a number of strikers being targeted by Warnock, although the Rangers boss’ limited attacking options have at least been improved by Campbell’s recovery from a foot injury.

It's probably been mentioned elswhere, but I see that Anelka off the agenda now he's gone to China. If we don't now get Defoe in Jan I'd be well disappointed on missing out on both of them.

All I can confirm is that a lot of people are 100% convinced so it's come from somewhere ... Opinion is Defoe has to gamble to get that seat to the Euros
Harry and Wannock get on well and Defoe wants London loan club
It won't be Chelsea or yArsenal so it's was us or Fulham
That is the total sum of what I know of the rumour. It sounds good to me as he is a greedy player out to prove something ... Could mean goals and after NY we have the run of matches to make that count

Sounds plausible for his international career, can't see Harry liking it though, that'll get him twitching.

By the way i was joking when i said 'done deal', however i would really love to see Defoe at QPR but i cannot see it, that doesn't mean it won't happen but all these 'done deals' normally end up 'dead deals'. I think noone on these boards really knows and when they say 'done deal' it really should be taken with a pinch of salt especially when they said this in November for a January transfer? <laugh> as if?

Cerny, i'm sorry for being the picky type but you are now saying that a "deal agreed in principle". In my book thats a long long way from "done deal", so which one is it?

Its always a 'done deal' then it's "deal agreed in principle", then it will be 'loan deal' then something else until it's 'not a deal', then all the usual excuses will come out and the ITK's will vanish for a bit until something else comes along.
Sorry seen all this rubbish before and will not be taken in by it. (Defoe to QPR)! <laugh>
I heard if it falls through we could go in for Rooney and that Russian Billionaire will pay his wages? Honest.

Did no one else not notice the 'Del and Rodney' love-in at WHL when we played them?
Sorry, I meant Harry and Neil when we played Spuds.
Rumour has it that they were both seen leaving the lane in a yellow reliant robin,
heading towards Peckham way.
'Sir Neil' praised Spurs more than he's ever praised us ( almost. )
There's a dodgy deal going down my friends, if we don't get at least one Spurs player
in January ..I promise that I will.. eh... uhm.......mmmm.....
