I personally think that Levy has chuffed up on this. You just know that Spurs are going to miss out one way or the other. They will either lose out money wise, or if they keep him he will pick up an injury. ( Not that I would wish that on him or any player. Shame on you R's fans that revelled in Hooper getting stretchered off today. ) But you sense that Levy has a very warped sense of greed.
As I pointed out on another thread, Real's President has only been discussing the move with Levy and they want him on a 6 year contract with instalment payments over 6 years. They still owe more than half of Modric's fee, yet Levy is sticking to the cash upfront deal which is becoming less likely as Real know he's already spent £60 million on new signings. Levy looks set to be hoisted by his own petard, especially if Real make a late bid for Suarez...
