As my username suggests, i live in the nottm area, i also for my sins, work there with a somewhat strange mix, of forest, derby, notts county, and prob another dozen diff prem and championship teams fans.

well you can imagine my surprise, ney, shock, when yesterday afternoon, while keeping track of the matt mills senario, ooh, (and working too, just in case the boss, a red neck lol, happens to be reading this), me and my son who works with me. Both humble lcfc fans, were branded, arrogant, yes arrogant, i tell you, by none other than a forest fan.

Well you could have knocked me down with a feather, but in the end i decided to take it as a compliment, as those guys have had the monopoly on that for yrs<party>
 
It's the 'fear factor' creeping in - this is the first time we have been in a position where rivals fear our buying power - Forest are apparently in for Routledge but so are we ... and with our purchases already we have shown where we are aiming to go.

Forest, remember were the first to break the £1 million transfer barrier when they signed Trevor Francis - a purchase which, if you wanted to be disingenuous, could argue 'bought' them the European Cup ... memories are short .. as are a lot of Nottingham residents due to the not marrying outside the blood line thing ...
 
I think some of them have long memories, cos i have it on good authority, they won the european cup twice, or so they keep telling me.

all joking apart tho, i think the pressure on us will be immense next season, and im sure teams will def up their game, to try to knock us down, and if we fail,rival fans will be only too glad to remind us of how much money we have spent.

alot of highs and lows along the way this season no doubt, can't wait to get started now lol
 
If goose stepping and strutting about, hands on hips, chin thrust out,looking up in the air while wearing my leicester top.....regarding other clubs and their fans as inferior...dismissive of any criticism...sneering at the failure of rival clubs to spend any money, is arrogant....then yes i am..........guilty as charged..........is that wrong?
