Kagawa is a 1 in 5 player, the amount of **** games he's had is astonishing, then he gave Bayern all kinds of trouble in the CL. I think he's just suited to the Bundesliga, plus we're desperate for a bit of muscle in midfield, these lot get shoved about way too easily.

Having said that, I'd rather he played instead of Cleverley, I think if we fetched Cleverley off and replaced him with a freshly laid cat **** we'd have had a better chance at winning that game.

I'd have him as a number 10 mate, I don't care about Mata who seems first choice to sit in behind the striker(s), he needs to earn his spot and currently he's in the team by default.

I think if we signed Vidal I'd be happy to go into the season. We have Evans, Shaw, Rojo, Rafael and Carrick to come back, as well as Fellaini so LVG has other options to use, you can say what you want about them not being good enough but anything is an improvement on the back line (Jones aside) and CM we started with on Sunday.

Jones bossed that back line on Sunday, he plays like that he starts every time for me.

The other problem with Man Utd is they keep signing players then saying we need another player. All I hear is we need a Midfielder, they sign Fellani and still need a midfielder. Fletcher comes back and they still need a midfielder. Janazi comes through the ranks and looks great, they still need a midfielder, they sign Herrera and still need a midfielder. Sign DiMaria and now everyone is saying he does not have anywhere to play.

I think we would all agree that at Sunderland we would take any of those players with open arms. Man Utd don't need anymore players they just need to either sell a few before they get more in or do a better job with what they have got.

From the way our club has gone about the market this year, as frustrating for fans as it has been - it looks like we are doing it with a purpose, and having properly scouted and assessed players. Looks like the gun-ho signing players for the sake of it - a la Bruce years- is gone. We have a formation, a style of play, and are signing players that fit into that system. It seems to be getting the most of the ones we have got - Catts looks immense now (was only 2-3 years ago we were all saying he should be flogged, he was a liability), Brown has played solidly without injury since Di Canio & Poyet have come in (touch wood he stays that way), and players like PvA, Buckley, Vergini, look like they will fit into our system very well. A few more key additions before Sunday and I reckon we will be in for a much better year!

It is because of the above that teams shouldn't be saying "Ahh Sunderland, theres an easy 3 points for us". Van Gaal does have this bit of arrogance about him, Man Utd have been a powerhouse of world football for the over a decade, he prob thinks he is the one to restore the staus quo. Their fans haven't really known this, and they will be freaking out if they draw against "lowly" teams like Sunderland. Man Utd no longer have that identity the SAF provided. Im not convinced with players like Cleverley, and this 3-5-2 system he persists with. A few times we exposed them at the back for this. Against teams like City or Chelsea, they will get flogged.

We need an enforcer in midfield in Carrick's absence. Fellaini hasn't been able to fill that role, Fletcher will never get back to his best at United. That role is still vacant, Carrick's long-term successor.

Herrera and Mata have been signed to create, which is great but we won't create much whilst our midfield is being dominated by the opposition.

Carrick will be out for a few months, as a cheaper option LVG is possibly looking at De Jong, but I'd rather we went for Cattermole as a cheaper option, although I'd prefer it if we just went for Khedira and got a world class engine and move on.

Valencia, Smalling (Keane), Blackett, Jones, Young... Mate, sorry but you should have ripped us a new arsehole. Jones was the only defender in that back line who is ready to play for United right now, Smalling is unfit, the two kids are not ready, Young and Valencia are midfielders.

You're right, we'll probably get humped by City/Chelsea, but they've beaten us plenty of times with Vidic and Rio at the top of their game anyhow, that's the nature of those two teams, they can beat anything on any day.

Doesn't need to be fresh terry!!

If Cleverley is England class then so am I. Cattermole and Rodwell are both streets ahead of him as footballers

I don't rate Jones personally - but he must've been delighted when Smalling went off so he could get away from Wickham who had him firmly in his pocket the whole of the time he was at RB!

You'll not find me disagreeing with anybody slating Cleverley pal, he's shocking. I've never been so ashamed of a United player in my life. EVERYTHING he touches turns to **** mate. I'd be happy if he was just sacked from the team, no sale, no fees, nothing, just sacked for being ****.

Lol stop it Marcus, you can have the Cleverley one but Jones bossed that game considering the line up, he took the game by the scruff of the neck on his own. I'm not his biggest fan and I was first to say he was looking like he was going backwards but he ****ing sacked your attackers enough times on Sunday. Nobody gave him the run-around, that was probably our only positive to take from the game.
