Google translate: "São Paulo and Gabriel Sara accepted the proposal (9 million pounds, almost R$60 million) from Norwich, in the second division of England. The agreement should be sealed in the coming days and depends on bureaucratic details and medical examinations of the athlete."
Not sure he'd get anywhere in the Prem, other than Wolves. They failed to beat us three times last year in a season when everyone beat us and they looked desperate for someone who could put the ball in the back of the net. Their playing style would suit him, too. With the midfield they have, he'd cause havoc with his runs off the ball. Other than that, he'd probably fit in well in La Liga. But their equivalents of Palace and Villa don't have a lot of money to throw around. Obviously, I hope he's still here, but I am nowhere near as sanguine about that happening as almost everyone else seems to be.
The reports I have seen have been suggesting that the Sara deal would be an initial loan, and then £10m in instalments if we get promoted. On Tzolis, I believe Club Brugge are still interested, this is likely to rest on AC Milan agreeing a deal for their winger Charles De Ketalaere.
Norwich City are interested in Manchester City's Marlos Moreno https://www.pinkun.com/sport/norwic...ich-city-transfer-news-rumours-moreno-9130614
Looking at his stats I am totally underwhelmed. Constantly out on loan and has scored ten goals in nearly 150 games. At 25 he obviously is nowhere in Man C's plans so I assume they would like to get rid. Never played a game for them so far. We surely have better/potentially better on our books already. And Patrick Roberts springs to mind. Where is he now by the way?
Sunderland. Went there on loan in January and, following their promotion, has now signed permanently on a two year contract.
If Pukki is transferred to EPL or another top league then he certainly deserves it. We would be left with Hugill, Idah and Sargent. I hope they could all do a job in the Championship, but would like two up front which is unlikely to happen.
https://www.leftbackfootball.com/ho...sao-paulos-multi-functional-attacking-conduit An article about Sara from a few years ago, which speaks highly of him. Can't tell if the author has just summarised a highlights video, or actually watched him, but we'll see.
Gabriel Davi Gomes Sara, 5' 10" tall, born June 1999, so just 23. Appears left footed from video clips, very good and powerful header. we may have ourselves a cracker folks.
Let’s hope Sara proves worthy of his price tag. Tzolis was meant to be a very decent, expensive youngster, but has not lived up to all the hype.
Reports are conflicting but it appears to be a deal structured where we take him on loan and make permanent if we gain promotion. Like Gibson and Giannoulis. If the club part with £10m plus in one go that would surprise me.
Let’s give Tzolis a break, he’s only been here a year, is it any surprise that an 18/19 year old struggled to make an impact in their first season in the country let alone the toughest league in the world. His price tag was pittance in comparison to other players in the league. Rashica came over for the same price with a lot more top level experience and also struggled to really make a meaningful impact. I’d really like us to keep hold of Tzolis and see if he can kick on this season at a lower level.
The two sides now seem to be haggling over the payments for a 5 year contract, with Sao Paulo wanting 50% up front and the rest in installments. That's not thought to be enough to scupper the deal though. http://sportwitness.co.uk/norwich-discussing-last-details-get-deal-done-final-impasse-clubs/ As for Tzolis, it depends on whether he's willing to stay and fight for his place. It may also depend on whether Rashica and/or Cantwell leave.
Much of that could also describe Buendia in the early stages: "In the final third, he is a true modern-day facet of the positional play age as a roving playmaker and manipulator of space. He moves, receiving the ball and connecting play in space with one-touch passes." Given that was 2 years ago, he should be even better now with a consistent tally of goals and assists through the years. He could restore the movement and interplay we've lost since Buendia left, and his ability to do that from midfield is an even bigger bonus. Defensively, he and Hayden could establish a true double 6 partnership which Gilmour and Normann failed to do last season.
Is he likely to have his medical in Brazil? Seems logical to me. We obviously will not sign him should be fail, therefore we will not apply for a work visa until after all this.
