The only reports I can find are from the Sun, who want me to pay a subscription to read more that the first line.
I think it's probably bollocks, he was probably heard saying "it's the sort of thing that makes you not want to play" or something similar, and the sensationalists jumped right on it.

(And I think I may have accidentally closed the other thread, my iPad had a spazzy fit when I put a reply on there. It's open again now.)

I'm sure if there was anything to it, there would have been an actual announcement about it. That, and we shouldn't be able to make any transfers (apart from emergency loans) outside of the proper windows.
