Wearing a rubber salamander costume, stomping on buildings, torching things with our atomic breath, and noting that Cloverfield was ****e.

I think your memory has let you down!!

As a Chelsea fan, when fit, this guy was amazing. Quite simply one of the best players we've had at the bridge in recent years especially in his first couple of seasons. A lot of Chelsea fans think we've never really replaced him and Duff's creativity. He used to ghost past players and scored a fair few as well. He is not as tricky or fast as he was but his overall game is probably better now. We sold him partly due to his injury record in the latter stages of his time with us.

But to be honest, you have little or no hope of getting him so its moot. The source is rubbish and as said above, his wages would be far too high.

He is still one of the best in the world imo. Had an outstanding 2009/10 season which ended with the WC final. Bayern normally never sell their top players and he will be earning some serious wages at Bayern. They pay their best players as well as anyone in Europe. This is probaly one of the worst rumors of the summer.
