    Argentina/Brighton midfielder Alexis MacAllister’s dad.

Scottish FA have submitted this as evidence that he should be playing for their national side

Good spectacle to be fair, but couldn’t we have just started and finished with this match and stopped all the pretence?
Qatari owned PSG superstars Messi and Mbappe get the final of a World Cup that was awarded to a corrupt nation state in Qatar after buying votes. Unsurprisingly there has been extremely suspect refereeing to get both teams to the final, non more so in the case of France who were the recipients of astonishing bias in both the quarter and semi final games. So much so, that the Moroccan FA lodged a formal
Complaint with FIFA after another astonishingly biased officials performance in France’s match against them.

They'd have a job proving that one, the family was originally from Ireland.

I enjoy a good conspiracy theory but this is just a wee bit fanciful.

Just need Infantino to come on now and say it's been the best world cup ever and proves that his mate Sepp was right in awarding Qatar the competition.

Some people say punctuation doesn’t matter. A missing comma here gives the impression the fans were having stones thrown at them by the police.<laugh>

“Riots also sparked in Lyon, France, where football fans began to fight back against the police throwing stones at them.”

We all know that it should never have been given to Qatar, the whole think stank, but forgetting that and looking purely at the football, it's been a very entertaining World Cup.
