Also .. 6.2 million for Sinclair , sold on the last season of his contract.... HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY !! . Who says " you can't separate a fool and his money " man city being the fool this time round
Very happy with the way things have shaped up here so far after the unsettling caused by another manager leaving which we have become used to over recent seasons .And im not as bothered about Sincs going as i was when Doris n Pratts went and look how that panned out hahaha, Joe was a more sentimental loss as he was our best youth product to date and still seams to have a bit of inocence about him a good welsh guy. The arrival of Laudrup after the taking of £22M from Liverpool was it would seem an inspired bit of business by HJ and the board and the subsequent new signings so far seem to have been some shrewed deals by the new guvnor. Having kept most of our core players and added better whilst spending the most we ever have in a season and financialy staying in the black comfortably things are still evolving in the right direction and who knows how far we can go on this crazy ride upwards and onwards ! I know its early in our second prem season but after weighing everything up do you think we are now at long last not just punching above our weight but a real threat to most teams in the prem and getting closer to establishing ourselves as a long term fixture in the prem ? I DO !!
Very happy with what we've brought in to replace those that have gone. Having a manager whose name is synonymous with 'God' in Spain has helped a lot. I think ML has started off well and seems to have a temperament which is both determined but realistic. Long may he stay. Ecstatic that we've also balanced the books and wouldn't have actually spent much of the allocated transfer budget for this season (thanks Liverpool) so that can go back to the rainy day fund. Well done the scouts, Huw, the board, ML and the rest of the backroom team that have helped us to progress into a team that looks like it could be more of a threat to the top half of the table. Looking forward to the journey.
Elated, euphoric, overjoyed, thrilled and Ecstatic! "Well done the scouts, Huw, the board, ML and the rest of the backroom team" Well said MasterON.
Have to be happy with what has happened players wise since the end of last season, we now have a very astute manager who seems to know exactly what he is doing and what players were needed to enable us to continue to improve. Was sad to see Joe move on along with Scott to a lesser degree but the transfer money has enabled us to permanantly acquire some players of real quality who can help us establish ourselves in this league. As for the fringe players with Bessone and Orlandi already departed and rumours that Dobbie that also left today am not too concerned that the others such as Gower can be loaned out to lower league clubs later in September.
Why wouldn't Jacks be happy! One of the best transfer seasons in living memory, and a credit to Laudrup and our Board, now all we need to do is turn the great signings on paper into results. Am I happy? you bet I am, do I have some worries, yes just one, and it has nothing to do with results on the field of play. I expect us to at least equal last season's performance, and as a club we have grown substantially on and off the field this year, with the development of our training facilities and Academy too, but there is one issue that will come onto the horizon sooner rather than later, and that issue will get closer, as this season progresses, and as our world wide audience soak up more of the Swansea performance's, that have made us the neutrals favourite. The issue is simply that it is only a matter of time before some foreign consortium, or billionaire takes a long hard look at us for a very attractive take over, come purchase. This has been made all the more attractive by the way our club has been run too, so for me this is the one issue that will be inevitable, and how we handle it will be crucial, make no mistake, the longer we stay in the premiership, the greater the risk of a buy out of our club!...................
I'm very happy, but in answer to your question of why Swans fans wouldn't be happy, maybe because many said they didn't want much change during the summer, but we have got lots of change. Just saying.
I'm a happy Jack, cracking a beer open to celebrate finally signing Hernandez. Down for the game tomorrow, hope to get 3 points over the Mackems, going to make a weekend out of it, so staying overnight. Then to top it off a Joe's before returning home!!! Happy days!!!!!!!
I,m well chuffed with our squad and it's full of quality,If there's one thing i would have liked to have seen is a biggish named striker,Yes i,m happy with Graham leading the line but Not sure about Schecter and Moore and Lita are just average but all in all i,m happy ..
Barring getting another , upgraded striker , I think Moore will get the lions share of what Graham can't handle .. & he should IMO
Totally agree Dragon. With the way things are in the football world with debt, we must look like a cracking business aquisition. This will be the next test for the board if we become a successfull prem team with good marketing possibilties. Back on thread. Totally ****ing chuft with the way its going Cant believe the players we are attracting, and the way we are progressing, we are going to be the team that footballers with skill, talent and without ego will come to.
Our lot seem to be very happy as compared to JA's new team's supporters. ( Didn't want to bump a certain thread )However, if you take a sneek peak at a certain board, their new manager and owners seem to be getting it in the neck
Without doubt yes, and why shouldn't I/we be , we're in a better place than ever and that includes when we were playing in Division 1 , little or no debt , a squad which has strengthened not weakened with a manager who has influenced the calibre of player we could only have dreamed of acquiring . A long hard season in front but I'm positive that we can continue to grow as a club both on and off the field .
No, I'm a miserable sod. But I am happy with our signings. It's not every day you sign a player from Spain's 3rd biggest team, a Champions league regular and Spanish international.
