Don't think I've ever been as bored watching football at the KC as I have, at times, this season. For all Slutsky's, McCann's and Shota's failings, I've felt a lot of things, but I don't remember ever being bored watching their football. I don't think that's a symptom of possession based football though, IMO, it's a symptom of how we're currently implementing it. LR's clearly doing a lot right, the critical thing is, whether he continue to learn and evolve.
It's not possession per se at fault, rather the lack of attacking penetration in possession. Perennial issue with City is inability or unwillingness to play the ball into a moving player's path.
Watching our football and getting bored must be a very odd experience. At most, recycling the ball through the back five takes about 7-10 seconds. The switch from boredom to normal excitement 50 odd times a match must be exhausting.
