I can understand you bricking it but I think you'll have a fairly easy night truth be told. Obviously as a Newcastle fan I want you to suffer until the last day and then stay up. However I think it'll be something like 6-2 to Arsenal. Both are vulnerable defensively but I think Wenger will just suck the last remaining energy out of Wigan in the first half, and then hit them hard with pace 2nd half. Wigan will get ragged and fold. That's just how I see it going. Arsenal are very good at exploiting tired sides because of the way his teams play, the way they move the ball and the pace they have. To get something from Arsenal I think you have to be fresh, well drilled and able to frustrate them. I'm not sure Wigan have that in them at this stage after such a murderous run of games with emotional highs (Cup final) and lows (Swansea game).
Which will change to 10% max if Wigan win tonight. I will be watching and shouting for Arsenal obviously, I have said in the past few weeks i would love it if Wigan pulled it off but definately NOT at our expense, and as its only between 3 teams now, I hope Arsenal hammer them 10-0 (sorry wigan). A draw would be fine as I believe its a 12 goal difference they would have to turn around and I just cant see that happening, but this is Sunderland and we have already got hammered off Villa just a week or so ago, so anything can happen in football.
Last week I could not stomach watching/hearing about the Wigan v Swansea game so went for a long walk, just timed it to get back just after full time. However ten bloody mins of injury time It was the longest ten mins I can remember. QUOTE=Riever;4737450]I'll admit it - I don't think I've got the bottle to put myself through watching the Arsenal v Wigan game tonight. Unless Arsenal are 4-0 up after 20 minutes then tonight looks like being 90+ minutes of absolute torture. I am going to go for a long run on the basis that the amount of nervous energy I will have by then will keep me going!!! I have been thinking of nothing else since I got up this morning and it is only going to get worse as the day goes on!!! What are your plans?[/QUOTE]
Don't worry, peeps. Just back from a short time travel and whilst Wigan win tonight, we beat the spuds 1 - 0 with a three-times taken penalty in the 96th minute. x
i don't know if i can bear to watch it. it'll be late and i hope i'm too knackered and fall asleep...which means i'll wake up around 3am in a panic. going to set off on long bike ride to burn off the tension a bit later...
I've said it before and I'll say it again. It is highyl unlikely that we will go down, and if we do, quite frankyl we will have deserved it when all is done.
Is it one of those inflatable ones? If not, it should be. Purely from the practicality of having good wipe down qualities.
Most likely Wigan will draw, then beat Villa 6-0 and we lose 5-0 at Spurs that would be typical of Villa woudn'it !. But being serious Wigan won their last 2 games last season to stop up and one Was at..........ARSENAL !. Beating wigan twice this season has probably saved us.
Man U Arsenal Fulham Newcastle Blackburn Wolves out of those they got beat once Vs Fulham, and won the others, their form this season does not even compare. WWDDWL
I'm as nervous as a hag in the Big Market needing to use a phone box on Derby day...Just wish this season was done.
