I think he will be going for players on loan and available on Bosmans.

I really can't see Ellis Short giving him £20-30 million to spend after the ****e he has produced this year.

    Using your ill-thought out logic:
Are all Mackems racist inbreds? Given that these two certainly are:

We have a decent scouting system, so we'll only be getting good players.

It's just a jest in the name of football.

Why should they have the **** kicked out of them irrespective of daylight or night time tomfoolery?

I think for many it's a sense of we don't trust him.

He's done things right and also horrendously wrong.

If he can keep his foot out io his mouth from knee jerk reactions then he does OK but there is always that underlying fear...

As they say; the proof is in the pudding but Mike looks like he likes his pudding.

    We may never know.

What is Short like? Never seen a picture or anything but also nothing bad about him.

All things considered you still had quite a decent 2nd half of the season, weren't you baying for blood in January after he sold off Carroll?

Here's a picci of Ellis wearing a nice tie

The baying was more about Carroll 24 hours before hand in the Chronicle stating his desire to be the 'Shearer-esque' talismanic number 9 and then he fecked off... from his 'boyhood dream club'.

48 hours later he's seen with a dirty old man watching Boyzone in Liverpool.

Daft tie. I've always been a single colour man myself when it comes to suit attire.

What about when Hodgson was booted: 5-1 Sunderland, 6-0 Villa - he was doing OK and I'm not sure Pardew has faired significantly better

How do you see your club spending this summer Shameless?

Is short going to stump up more cash or is Brucey going to have to find the funds himself?

If Bruce does how will he do it?

You've got about 7 players leaving, loan or out of contract so no cash being generated there. Back to the loan market again?

As I have stated, I think you lot have done well and against the odds - you lose a respected and well-liked manager in the first half of the season and then your best striker and you still end up mid-table. Where you lack skill (sorry, but man-for-man Sunderland are stronger in most areas of the field), you have on the other hand something more valuable imho;- passion, character and tenacity. In terms of winning matches, or even coming back from 4-0 down, these are winning qualities and in that department we suck! If Wham scored the first goal last Sunday I bet we would have gone on to lose that game, given our recent run of form against Brom and Wolves. Against Wolves we played the better footy and lost. Against Blackpool you looked vulnerable, non-fiery and lacking in terms of ideas -lucky to escape with a draw.

I've no idea atm what the Ellis coffers are like, although Quin has hinted that money will be there.

I think next year we should be evenly matched and Noocastle will have more than an edge if we cannot build a more resilient team.

Fare enough, would disagree with you in terms of skill.
Would say defences are pretty evenly matched, midfield you have skillful players but you get bullied easily which is where I think your problem sits and where our strength is. Strikers yeah we suck upfront, but on the flip side Sunlans have hardly be prolific. Gyan has not really matched his price tag.

You say Quinny has hinted that the money is there, but hasn't he also come out and publicly said there will be no more splashing the cash?
From what I heard Short was not happy at the empty seats (not having a dig) which is why Quinny was kicking off about people watching in the pub, cause it wasn't bringinng in the extra cash. So Short was reluctant to spend any more.
Think it'll be interesting for both clubs this summer, we know we have money to spend but not expecting any big names and our scouts have turned up some cclass players (Tiote , Ben Arfa).
Sunlan have a lot of work to do to replace the players that have gone and to try and improve the squad. Personally think Bruce has got the hardest transfer window ahead, cause he's got a lot of players to replace.

Our midfield has been pretty naff for much of the season -yes the skill is there but not the bottle excepting Clatteremall and Meyler. As for our appalling defence this well known - though in fairness we had a very good record until a fateful day at SJP.

Both clubs have had there share of injuries, most notably Ben Arfa for you and how many for us???

Yeah, we'll have to go for loan player methinks which may not do so much for our character development.

More loan players. Your not going to get a team full of passion, character and tenacity with loan player
