If there is a single person on Earth who has followed Spurs for, say, twenty years or more and is an optimist I think they need to donate their brain to science when they die. Cos I don't know what chemicals are pumping round that thing but I know that I want some! I actually think that I would be a much more optimistic person in general if I didn't support Spurs.
I meant to say it takes most people till well into adulthood to realize that life is nothing but a series of bitter disappointments culminating in complete failure.
no... I was a miserable ****er anyways. Now if I'd been an Arse supporter I'd be suicidal, so better be miserable and alive than the alternative I'd say
ah...spot on then...they've been aware of bitter disappointments ever since they were old enough to realise the high pitch wailing sound coupled with the rhythmic thumping was just me sobbing and banging my head on the wall after yet another kick in the bollocks delivered by spurs via sky tv
It certainly doesn't bloody well help. I mean - at least other teams have the odd relegation/triumphant promotion. I sometimes wish I'd been pushed to support Brighton, my local team, more. I went to a season's home games when I was about 15 (Got a feeling that it cost me something like 2 pounds a game with junior membership - that's in the early nineties). It was dire. And I just didn't get the same excitement as I did with Spurs. It was too late for me. Makes me wonder - if you include promotions/league titles/Johnsons Paint Trophies etc I wonder which teams have seen the most glory and where Spurs sit in there. Doesn't matter if it's "just" a League Two title or whatever. I bet there's no Gillingham fans who would swap their season for ours this year.
Balls. There was I thinking that at least death would be some sort of success. Will greatly reduce my carbon footprint for one thing.
Deluded at the start of the season, becoming realistic as the season progresses, angry when we lose, euphoric when we win, generally optimistic becoming only pesimistic when we lose against the goons. Beating the goons is like walking on air.
still, it's better to be a miserable ****er than a fan who turns on his manager after 17 years and demands his sacking. #wengerout has been a disgrace this year and those arsenal fans (led by Piers morgan) should be ashamed of themselves after all wenger's done over the years.
