<laugh> yeah I remember. I used to go on and look for the red doc martens to see what you had started. Kept me entertained

I hardly post on team boards as people get too precious even with genuine questions or comments. When it comes to football I had mates from all over the country and would happily go along to watch a game if invited.
    Banter is just that

Was never a fan of the docs. My first ones left my feet too sore. My father in law took them

My mother in law has red ones (and all sorts of flowery ones). I used to laugh and say that as a kid red docs and braces meant run

My Mrs used to wear them too, but black ones and my eldest bought some back from NY

    I prefer timberlands

I think I missed the chapter when I studied all religions where one had to pay out 1000's of pounds to enjoy and celebrate Christmas day or Visakha Puja?

I just love Wilbur the penguin ... the Mrs is more of a traditionalist, she'd have preferred it if we had stuck with turkey again ...

I'm not a huge spender tbh. Not overly fond of materialistic possessions.

    That didn't take long <laugh>

But nah I'd generally rather spend money on doing something with loved ones than buy or receive a gift.

It's approaching that time of year where I start to tactically fall out with people so I don't have to bother with them. As for myself, I don't care if I get pressies or not. So long as I've got enough weed to last the Xmas period because there can be a drought around this time of year.

Are you going to do the 'I'm a Muslim' trick and avoid the spending this Xmas?

Worked a treat for me in the past

My whole crew know I don't bother with it, by crew I mean friends, family, acquaintances

My kids don't bother either, not through "fundamentalist" design but just how it is because we never bothered

I've had teachers etc try and say stuff and that pisses me off, because I don't force the kids as they seem to think. How you can force a 3-5 year old anyway I don't know.

My in laws don't bother with us but often feel guilty and will buy the kids stuff in mid march or something.

Tbh unless asked, as you have done, its not an issue. Just another day
