I actually found that very funny mate, honestly, nee wumming. The humour of the football fan in the face of adversity never ceases to amaze me.

True, but it's funny how everyone remembers that back four they had springing the offside trap!

I'm over the moon with our activity in the transfer window thus far and would only be disappointed if we didn't sign another "higher" profile striker, meaning not Shane Long or the like! European top talent is the flavour for me!

MA is running the club well albeit ruthlessly... I will support the players, who ever they may be but never the chairman. Support for the manager is still reserved!

Hey hey hey we did amazingly well this season with just hoof-ball. It's uniquely English though, in that to be successive your team must be made of Warriors. Newcastle was the most combative team this year in the premier league. It didn't matter that we played mainly hoof-ball, we were responsible for quite a few upsets and would have come 9th in the league if not for the last 15 minutes of the season

But we just sold that warrior spirit at our club and now are going to be forced to play more like Arsenal

Yeah but if something negative happens now we can just choose not to see it...

The problem Arsenal had was knowing when to move up a gear. In my opinion, their transfer policy and style of football was spot on (although they have had a footballing side lacking in strength, and able to stick the boot in, for a while). What they missed was when they should build on their model and push on - bigger signings etc to try and get back to the top.

As has been mentioned here, geting back to the top of the league is no easy task, and if we are to do it, it isn't going to happen over 1, 2 or even several seasons. This is a long term project, and we have to stick with it, slow and steady progress...

Personally I don't like Ashley, but I have to say that he and his team have really got down to it in the past season. I'm looking at a club now that is moving up - we have a good financial model (even if that means that we have to sell a few of our stars), and we're looking good on the pitch too.

Still don't like Lambas, but Ashley is slowly bringing me around... I'm excited for the future <badger>
