We're fine I'd say the pecking order is.. 1. Fryatt 2. Simpson 3. Adebola 4. Mclean 5. Barmby (as a sub) 6. Stewart (can play as striker) 7. Ghilas (ditto)
I'll be less concerned once we get past October and Stewart is available, he did look handy played as a striker.
Him and Simpson playing together (the first half at Bramall Lane especially) looked very pleasing on the eye
Didn't the write up (either in the initial write up in HDM or the interview with Warren Joyce) when Brady joined also say he had played up front? Certainly looks like he has an eye for goal.
The problem with playing Stewart/Brady up front is then you lose the threat from the wings. Rather have another striker, but it is probably unlikely!!!
whats the word on Garcia? Personally i think hes crap up front but would fill the gap on the right wing should we need to push Stewart or Brady upfront. Although if all else fails we still have a loan slot left, see if Man U what to send us Macheda
Simpson,Fryatt,McClean,Stewart and Adebola are all Nigel Pearson signings. McClean and Stewart are not out and out srikers as such. We could probably do with one but can't afford it. If we could get a straight swap, a striker for Ghilas for example then it should be snatched at.
don't think we can shift Ghilas at all, he's off the radar as far both in England & France as he did nothing at Arles-Avignon. He's another who looked good on youtube playing for Celta Vigo but that's a few years ago now and his "credit ratings" have slipped..
We could do with another one who guarantees goals like Fryatt, but every club and every fan thinks that. The fact is these strikers are few and far between, we should be grateful for the goalscorer we have, and make do with the other 3 who may come good as well. Every other club in the league has to make do with strikers of similar ability.
id like a move for a striker on loan in january if were not scoring enough but I dont feel we need one at the moment, a striker could help us push for playoffs/autos if were lucky
