We are more ready than this time last year. With the players signed and probably one or two more before the start of the season (if not by the end of August) we should be a tidy enough outfit not to have too many worries. Not sure if we are going to set the Premiership on fire with the assembled bunch of oldies but I reckon we are going to have to get used to grinding out wins. Not losing will be the first order of the day from Sparky, anything over and above that will be a bonus.
I think we have added early and well , we are not breaking the bank so not breaking the club. Some smart additions , 12th/13th this season will be a success.
Look, I've told you before. If you keep moaning and groaning it will stay on Talksport for the entire journey.
I know they won't say it out loud in public because they're too smart for that, but there is no doubt in my mind that MH and TF are looking at a top 10 finish as where they want to be by the end of the season!!
Yep, I'd agree with that. I'm pleased at how we've strengthened the squad but we have a handful of players we need to get off the payroll (Hulse, Smith and DJ; and Connolly if, like me, you can't believe this "new start" fairy tale). We need a couple of defenders: most urgently, a first choice centre back. I'm not too worried about retaining Betty because I don't think we've seen the best of him yet. Also, I rate Young more highly than many on this board and, apparently, more highly than Hughes does.
