Two reasons why Liverpool fans will dislike us...

    1) We sold a donkey to them for £35 million, and
    2) They feel threatened by us because we are now ahead of them and have just signed a top striker to go alongside our other top striker.

Also, the phrase YNWA has got to be the most cringe-worthy thing in football, absolutely horrible especially when you see Liverpool fans writing it at the end of every post (having it on your signature is almost as bad).

Honestly I think a lot more people like us, because in comparison to Liverpool/Arsenal we're the plucky underdog, doing it with cheaper players. We're also tortured by our owner - fans love to say "hahaha sports direct arena, hahahaha nah but seriously, that's pretty ****, I'll still call it St James'"

Finally I we as a fan base have mellowed...We were never as deluded as some made us out to be, but we certainly had a certain level of 'expectation' after spending so highly...Whether justified or not, I think people like the fact our fans now say "I'd be happy with top 10, anything else is a bonus" as opposed to "we've spent 40m, we should be in europe!"

I think that's a big factor really. People often root for the underdog, and we're the underdogs.

I think Man United and Spurs fans will be rooting for us, since we could knock Liverpool or Arsenal out of the top six, maybes even both.

Doubt we've suddenly 'Everybodys' favourite second team 'cause we're the underdog. Nice to be getting praise from opposing fans though! <ok>
